GameGrumps - A new youtube channel from JonTron and Egoraptor - General

I think people are taking this way to fucking seriously. I haven't watched the whole episode yet, but from the first ten minutes or so, it made me laugh quite a few times, and as others mentioned they seemed to be criticizing the game. I can't say if they were paid or asked to play Dead Space 3, but either way, I don't think they would have accepted if they didn't want to play it. Jon has mentioned before that he likes the Dead Space series, and he probably would of checked out the Dead Space 3 demo anyway so why not play it on Game Grumps? People used to complain that all they ever played were Nintendo games. More variety is always good.

Seems every time one of them brings up a possible promotional thing, the other brings up the bird joke to distract themselves from it or make it apparent to the audience. If they were paid to play it, they certainly ain't fans of simply putting out selling lines.

I actually liked this episode. I don't see what the fucking problem is with changing games a bit. Because previous game they've played had plenty of forced humor anyway. Their humor is often forced anyway. And they took the 'advertising' of the game in a funny and entertaining way. You guys have to stop complaining about a single thing you don't like.

Oh, wow, half of the people here are acting as if Game Grumps were almighty defenders of altruism, which can only serve their fanbase and do everything they say. What's with all this indie/hipster "sell-out shaming"? Come on, why do you think they're pushing themselves with the Shadow campaing in Sonic 06? I'm sure they're partially doing it to guarantee more channel views. At least this new episode had its good parts, like the bird one, but it wasn't too horrible. Let me guess, are you going to start telling youselves they suck now with the "they're mainstream like <insert another lets play channel here> because they did this video" excuse? This is why I cannot stand bitchy cynics. Admit it, if you had a channel like Arin and Jon you'd probably try to take advantage of the situation at least once.

I've heard this being mentioned multiple times in the thread. Since the Sonic 06 series is currently the most viewed one by far, I think it makes perfect sense.
