The whole thing felt forced, yeah, but I still liked it. Game Grumps should do more shooter games.

I was subbed to TB cause I liked his vocie and would ignore what he was saying and do other thing while listening, but you know what, I didn't know he was such a colossal prick and I don't feel like being subbed to him anymore.
I think it would have been much better if they weren't being paid, you could tell they thought the game was shit.

I found them getting scared pretty funny. I know like every other fucking youtuber exclusively does horror games, but maybe some older or not well known ones could work for them.

Arin and Jon always seemed to be against this shit 100%, especially Arin, like companies buying reviews or people selling out, and then they go and fucking do it.

also most companies dont actually pay people to play their games, they just send people like machinima and TGS copies and say "play it on the internet pls". the people they pay are reviewers, straight up, such as IGN.

I just want to drop in my 2 cents on TB while its fresh. The only time I saw a video of his was when he was playing Magicka with Yogscast (or maybe Spike/Barley or Matt/Patt, doesn't matter). Basically the entire video consisted of the other two trying to have fun and joking around with TB going "we have to do this, look at me look at me, do this why are you not paying attention stop having fun."
In short, kind of a cunt.

I'd imagine them being paid is something akin towards receiving an early access copy of a game from its devs. It's an investment yes, because a reviewer can always very well rip into a game or simply highlight a number of its flaws, but at the same time it gives the dev exposure of their game to another audience that may not be aware of it. From what I've gleaned, it seems in all likelihood that Jon and Ego were asked to play the demo on their show by TGS. Perhaps they were contractually obligated, perhaps there was another reason.
I didn't watch the video myself, and I don't really imagine I will (I mostly watch their Sonic 06 episodes or start a series after they're a few episodes in) but from what I'm seeing they seemed uncomfortable with what they were doing. It could likely be that they tried to make a best out of a bad situation, knowing that they were going against both what they'd said in the past about buying reviews and their fanbases trust.
Then again, they also had the "consider subscribing" banner in one of their videos long, long ago and that caused some rather nasty fallout, so I could very well be wrong and we will soon see Jon dropping his old hat in exchange for a new one encouraging us to drink Mountain Dew; Grump Fuel.
Dead Space 3? Well that's one episode I won't be watching. Don't want shit spoiled.

It's the demo. There aren't any spoilers. I'm pretty sure it's a level at the beginning of the game.

I actually didn't watch the Dead Space 3 episode, as I have no interest in the game, but I wouldn't call the Grumps sell outs based on only one example. If they continue promoting modern titles for no apparent reason, then yeah, there'd be a problem.
Also, I thought TB and them had a good time with Jon. Its kinda sad to see all of this drama all of a sudden. I never thought TB was a bad guy, he can come off as a dick in his comments, but he's made a lot of good points in his videos. But I doubt Jon did anything seriously bad to warrant his nasty remarks.
