You guys do know the shit they were reading is the marketing shit from the demo giveaway site, right? They were probably asked by The Game Station to do an episode on the demo. And why are so many people calling them sellouts? They clearly LOVED the demo with amazing quotes such as: "Wow, check out these 1997 graphics." "It's poorly designed." "I hope the rest of the game isn't like this." "It's like Uncharted 2."

The episode made me laugh a couple times, just like most the other ones. Works for me.

Yeah, at first I thought they were doing it for money or whatever but after watching it it does seem like them just playing a game and giving their opinions on it. There are parts where it feels like they were told to do it, like with the birds and stuff, but it still feels like a GG video after the first couple of awkward minutes in the beginning.

That seemed to me like them just trying to spice it up and prevent it from becoming a boring-ass 'lets play dead space' I think they handled doing a mainstream game pretty well. To be honest I think if they'd continued to stick with Nintendo/Sega games for the rest of their time on Youtube they'd have been scraping the bottom of the barrel pretty soon in terms of interesting viewpoints and opinions. I think by playing AAA titles it just gives them a chance to talk about that part of gaming and therefore give a balanced view of the industry. Nostalgia is good but I do want to see them play more recent and less Mario-esque games like HL2 and Dishonoured, and if they sit there afraid of being called sell-outs then they're going to stagnate. I mean every game is worth playing; every game has something (even something minuscule) that it does right. And you can always learn from what a game does wrong. This is so tedious to watch. It's clear the game's subscribing to the "WOAH CHECK THIS SETPIECE OUT okay now go through this corridor to get to the next one" school of level design; say what you will about how enjoyable that is to play, watching somebody play it is incredibly dull. There's not a whole lot they could've done about it though, it's an inherent problem of the game and through no fault of them.

It feels like they did the awful bird thing to make it as obvious as possible to everyone I mean if they have to do it might as well do it as sarcastically as possible instead of being even more fake being like "oh hey Jon did you you that you can play this game with Kinect and blahblahblah" you can even tell they are laughing while reading that stuff because (hopefully) they find it as ridiculous and stupid as everyone else doesn't change the fact that everything was awfully forced [editline]15th January 2013[/editline] "They all got messages and it hurts too bad to read" I wonder

That video got me thinking, I wonder if they'd play Uncharted 2 on the show. The game doesn't really have a lot of observational humor like the 2D games they usually play, but it seems like it would be an interesting thing for them to try out, especially since the game itself is pretty funny occasionally.

[sp]Also, from what I've read, there was a multi-page thrashing of Spoony that spawned two other mockery threads mostly dedicated to hating him, not to mention how only one guy disliked Plinkett's voice, and was followed by more than one post essentially telling him to shut up. So I have the feeling they don't exactly hate Plinkett or love spoony[/sp] :v: But seriously, what the fuck, guys? It might feel out-of-place, but it's far from "selling out". They basically hated the game and barely showed any restraint in saying that it sucks. If they do this a few more times and seem like they're restraining themselves from saying anything bad about some fancy new AAA game, then you can get angry, but this? Seriously, lighten up a bit. If you didn't like it, that's fine, it does feel different, but there's no reason to think that this will suddenly be the norm, especially after the backlash it's getting.
