God their discussion of Nintendo is depressing. I really wish Nintendo would abandon the NSMB design, since everything looks so bland and generic. I really hope we won't see it in the next 3d Mario game, since 3d land proved that it didn't look that great in 3d.

they should make Super Mario World 2 with the old graphics and gameplay, that would be amazing

The problem is what they stated. Nintendo is playing it safe, and that's not good for innovation.
They should make a 3D mario that has has varied settings.
I liked galaxy but I've always wanted a new 3D mario like 64 where there was a large variety of settings for the levels.

And as long as the level/enemy/powerup designs were new and they weren't just making some update of 64 it wouldn't be a rehash at all.
Completely agree with Ego on swimming in Banjo Kazooie. It's a fucking annoying pain in the ass. Also I have no idea how they are going to finish Banjo, it's going to take a long ass time.

I don't think they gave up on it, they probably just haven't done it in a while, like there was a massive gap between kirby episodes.

I remember that song, have not heard it in a couple years since I last visited my mother.
My mother is the Country Song fan of my family, my dad not so much.
At every school dance I went too, that was the song that was played and we all had to dance to it. Such is life in south Georgia.

Also they should play Bionic Commando: Rearmed coop.

I'm so happy they're doing Banjo Kazooie, one of my favorite games, but I'm mildly irritated that they skipped out on hitting the Grunty switch in Mumbo's Mountain.
Them playing it really makes me want to replay Kazooie and Tooie. I hope they play through all of Kazooie and play Tooie in the future.

The Banjo-Kazooie videos are the weakest they've done imo.
The problem is that Jon loves the game too much. You can feel the pressure Ego's under to enjoy it, even though he says he'd tell Jon if he didn't, the pressure's still there.
That and it's all Jon talks about. Little nuances of the game he loves so much. They don't seem to be having as much fun playing it, they're not kidding around much and it's all around just a bit mundane. It's like, Jon, I don't like this game as much as you do. It's not that fun hearing about how much you love it in intricate detail. You're smothering the videos.
Jon really does have a LOT of trouble articulating his thoughts about video games on the spot. Every time he tried Ego just keeps verbally ripping him new ones.
"It's legitimately a masterpiece, even though it's flawed. I'd give it a ten out of ten, easily on my top five list of favorite video games. The sequel to it was better, but the original is literally better in every way." - JonTron on every single video game he's ever played.
I love the guy but damn listening to him say that shit just burns me up.

He did apologize for that in one of his later videos, I think.
Also the meme faces were kinda dumb but considering how he's pretty does all of his advertising on Reddit it isn't surprising. I still think he's funny even though I fucking loathe Reddit so whatever.
The one time he said that Reddit was "a lot cleaner" than 4chan and that "some nasty dastardly stuff goes down on 4chan" or whatever had me in stitches though. Meanwhile in real life, Reddit only just recently removed their child porn boards very reluctantly and still has a load of less than squeaky clean boards floating around on it.
The other time where he was all "It's my fucking channel I'll do what I want" when people got mad at him for advertising his channel on GameGrumps was a lot less than professional too. That's a really shitty attitude to have. Yeah, it's your channel, but your channel ain't shit if your viewers don't like what they see.
tldr I love Jon but he talks a lot about shit he doesn't actually know a single thing about and just really needs to learn to shut up sometimes
