If you look for keywords your mind can almost instantly piece together the sentence most of the time.
Discard mundane words and focus on the ones that stand out like topics, names or places etc

They don't think it's shit, they keep saying that it's fun. But it's still completely soulless, there's a difference. It's fun, but it's a hollow husk inside.

The Banjo episodes have slowly been getting better as Jon runs out of things to say about the game, so they go back to just having a laugh.

I mean yeah the eps where Jon gushes over Banjo like a dweeb are a lot duller and those are the eps I won't watch again but it still doesn't really bother me that much

Yeah, I don't really mind any of them either.
I actually like how he gushes about the game, I'm not at all familiar with it and it makes me understand why the people that like it, enjoy it as much as they do and what it was like when the game had recently came out.

I'm waiting for more Banjo, I don't give a fuck about Jon's praise of the game because I love Banjo as well and not to mention that someone raised a good point earlier in the thread, that Ego did the same thing in another game they played (forgot which one though.) It's apparently okay for Ego to praise a game constantly but not okay for Jon to do it?
I've never understood all the beef people have had with Jon anyway. I find him just as funny as Ego and even his own videos on his own channel are great too. And people complaining about Jon being an idiot? Game Grumps is about humor and cracking jokes, not about how smart either of them are, except when it comes to Jeopardy of course. Even then, Jon had the highest score at the end of the last video.
Whatever though, them playing through Banjo made me take out the old 64 and start to play through the first two games again with a goal of completing the games 100%, Stop 'N Swop included.. Up to Clanker's Cavern but my game froze when I accidentally moved a wire so yeah fuck I lost all my progress when I had 1 more jiggy to go, 1 more Jinjo, and 5 more notes to collect. :(

It was LTTP that Ego was praising
The difference between the Banjo videos and the LTTP episodes for me is that the LTTP ones have more actual discussion about the game and whether it's better/worse than OOT, they both had good points for both sides of the argument and it made the conversations interesting. Banjo just tends to feel like Ego going "Yup yeah okay I can see that yeah I suppose mhmm" as Jon gushes about the game endlessly. They're getting better, but Jon still comes off as a bit of a sperg sometimes.
