They're making much more. TGS pays much more than that. Maybe even more when they are dealing with two of their biggest partners. It's probably more like $3. If you're one of the most famous animators on youtube, you have some say in your contract. Not saying they are, but they could be getting a much better deal.

You're thinking that they spend 30 minutes playing games and that's all they do? There is an incredible amount of overhead involved with running a partner channel that it could be the whole day.

Yes, a normal partnership, but networked partnerships run differently. Generally, the gaming networks allow for more focused advertisement systems which let them pay more. Sometimes up to $4 CPM. This is because an advertiser can talk with the network and know they are hitting a high percentage of their demographic.

I didn't feel that at all. Yes, he was forceful, but come on. It was his list.
I thought he was joking at first with goldeneye, then I started agreeing with all his points I even hooked up my N64, Goldeneye is shit to play now. Controls are unbearable, the visuals are hard to live with. They aren't retro or dated well.

I kind of agree with jon on this shit except for l4d, but he does come off as an ass without any solid points. The only game I can't speak for is metroid prime because I never played it. Goldeneye is still actually fun if you aren't a dumbshit and realize you can change the controls to something way more comfortable, but I agree it's fucking overrated.

Goldeneye is only overrated in that alot of people say that it's still the best FPS ever. Sure, when it came out, it was fucking great, but saying it still hasn't been beaten is pretty stupid.

I sort agree with L4D2 being sort of overated because compared to L4D1 the only difference is melee weapons, new set of characters/some special infected and maps. It hardly changes the core gameplay and would be much better suited as a DLC for L4D1. Even the graphics look the same.
MW3 did the same thing compared to MW2. All that was different were some new guns, characters and maps. Almost no core gameplay was changed, and the graphics look exactly the same.

I suppose there's more hate for MW3 than there is for L4D2 because compared to MW3, you can do a lot more with L4D2 in terms of being moddable. That and having more freedom with your dedicated L4D2 server than with a MW3 server.

I know you can do more with L4D2 like modding and stuff, but I was referring to new ingame additions.
My sort of thinking is that I shouldn't have to mod a game to make it good. It should be able to stand on its own two legs. I should not have to mod a game to make it acceptably different than the other.
If anything, L4D2 did expand the lore of the L4D world a bit more. and I liked that the special infected did look different.
You forgot that L4D2 added that awesome gore-mechanic.
You can shoot someone's crotch out, or shoot their legs off and it'll look all gross.
John is so wrong about SSBB, Melee is easily the best in terms of fluid gameplay. SSBB is close but it feels more bogged down. When you've been playing Brawl for a while it's very easy to forget how much better Melee is but I urge you to go play it again and realise just how much better it feels.
When Jon did the Home Alone hands-on-cheeks thing, I actually got it because I did it at the same time and heard the same noise through my headphones and was really confused for a second

The main problem with Brawl is how floaty it is. I know they did it on purpose to make air chains more prominent and powerful, but makes the game as a whole much, much slower.

I like Brawl, it's a lot of fun with friends and it's a neat game, but whenever I get invited to a little tournament thing for Smash Brothers I don't go along unless it's Melee because its just so much better.
It's a real shame because imo, brawl had better potential for characters. They were imbalanced and shit but if they weren't it would have been amazing, with characters like ROB and everyone in it
