There is always overhead with switching activities. People can't just start recording perfectly the moment they have a 10 minute block of time. It's best for them to organize it in a block. Unless you are a super hero with time management anyways.

Like I don't care much for the gameplay in Amnesia, I don't think it's that fun or interesting, but it's at least immersive enough to make me continue to play it.
