There are some things that we just CAN'T change as of yet. Putting your hope on child molesters and serial killers isn't something you should waste your energy on.
Personally, yeah, I'm definitely against the death penalty. I do believe that everyone has the right to life. However, I can understand why it could be argued that we should have the dealth penalty, simply because it would save money et cetera, but then you have to consider the risk of executing someone who could later be found to be innocent.
As someone else also said, yeah, therapy is bullshit. I'm pretty sure that there's a lot of people who have issues that cannot be fixed. I guess this is an area we need more research in.
It's a pretty complex subject to say the least.

That's clearly a separate problem, but solitary confinement if you're that worried about it.
Of course you don't really have to have a mental disability to commit murder.
Sometimes it's about revenge and those sort of things. In that case I don't think the death penalty should be applied.

In a maximum security prison where most murderers are locked up, it's very difficult for them to kill people, granted they have fights, but guards tend to break them up very quickly.

The only people who need to be executed are those who are so deranged that recovery is not an option. Punishment can and will work, as will rehabilitation, but there are individuals so twisted, so fucked up that it's easier to just be done with them than attempt treatment. Keep in mind that these are people who can and likely will kill people, posing a threat to dozens if not hundreds of innocents. However, in most cases, the olive branch works better than the sword.

Psychiatrists are used for prisoners. My dad worked as a psychiatrists for some inmates a few years back. He told me these was no way you can fix these people. One of them told him that his god will love him if he repents after beating his wife.
This guy isn't the WORST of criminals and doesn't deserve the death penalty BTW. I'm just showing how fucked up some people can be.
