Some Hau5 - General - Facepunch Forum

Just a little song I made. No biggie. Comment, complain, troll, flame, compliment, advise, and I'll revise. (Holy shit that was like a freaking poem :D ) [media]http://soundcloud.com/dylanjraub/some-hau5[/media]

Pretty decent I suppose. Just about as good as most of deadmau5's stuff. (Which isn't an extraordinary feat.) Since you were clearly going for his style, I'd say you nailed it pretty well. It's just lacking depth. The sound needs to be thick and meaty and full of... "oomf". This piece was kind of hanging around the high end, and could have really benefited from some synths of varying intensity and range. To me it just sounded like a very long intro, even though there were distinct drops. If you had introduced some deep pulsating sub-bass and maybe some kind of suitable low-end synth after the drop, it would make it seem much more dramatic. Don't forget the spirit of house music, which is to get people to dance.

I tweaked the mixing one last time to make sure it sounded the best it could be. I think I did pretty well, thanks to you guys :D Croix, I'll get you your stems in a day or two. I'm really busy with...something at the moment.

It's cool, but I get a feeling I've heard this before somewhere else. What I'm saying is that it's pretty generic, but if that's what you tried to go for then great! It's a cool track though! :v:
