Well I think the main reason he hasnt loaded the gun is because its pointed at the camera, which probably has someones face right behind it. I doubt he wants to risk killing someone over making a picture a tiny bit better...

Good advice though with the pykrete. Although how do you make an actual fort out of those pykrete blocks?
Make Pykrete blocks and then build with it, shouldn't be too hard to adapt the method.

i told you, Heat up rebar and push it into the ice. Or get a nice mallet and wooden spikes, or even poor somewhat already chilled water on it constantly, or get creative, or you could even lash them together with ropes, or as the concoction is almost frozen you put a stick in it and keep doing that till you have many that can be hammered together. Really i could go on.
Though i do say, Make big slatted walls and think "pillars".
Disclaimer, i am not at all responsible if you somehow made a super awsome fort, yet because of your lax engineering skills had the roof fall on your head, and or any injuries you may sustain listening to my advice. if you build a fort or anything out of pycrete and you didn't make it solid enough its all your fault somehow.
Metal is a very good temperature conductor, so it's not very good for ice unless maybe it's below freezing outside. Wood on the other hand isn't a good heat conductor, so it won't melt the ice.
I'd just make solid blocks and stack them on top of eachother, they should just stick together or at least freeze together over night.
That's nice <3
:3: nostalgia attack, my dad made me an igloo when i was 11, it was fuckin awesome.
Fort facepunch = :iia:
I wish I had enough snow here to make a fort. :smith:
