I was invited to watch Paranormal Activity. I declined because I'm a coward and die of fright or go (more) insane with paranoia.
I CAN'T FUCKING SLEEP. This has been affecting my job performance, I can't especially work in night shift now. Every time something falls in my construction site, I immediately think ghost.
haven't been this scared since Alien.
So, what is the #1 scariest movie of all time?

it's only scary to dumb people who believe in ghosts
I saw a uploaded version of the movie and thought the ending of the uploaded version was better than the one I saw at the pre screening. It was quite fucked up in my opinion.
Oh! By the way! If anyone is actually interested in seeing Paranormal Activity I recommend you don't see it online at all, what gives the movie such a chilling feeling was all the bass the movie has. I have a bass system for my computer and the uploaded movie doesn't have any bass whatsoever so it didn't work. I just recommend you see it properly in the theaters.
Yeah thanks for the dumb rating by the way.
Alternate ending - Probably spoilers.

Just watched this on letmewatchthis.com...

I'd say it's one of the best movies I've ever seen, I wanna see it in theaters now, and like yell, "OH MY GOD" just randomly to make everyone jump. :smug:
one of the least scary scary movies ive watched
girl didnt jump into my arms until 15 seconds til the end, fuck that
Katie had some nice boobies.
movie is wayyyy to hyped up. I hate scary movies, but this movie was fine. only scary part was the end

The only reason the end is scary is because of whole movie that leads up to the ending, so in a way that means the whole movie was scary.
I wonder if it's all just hype or is it really THAT scary?
the movie was creepy, but if you ask me it wasn't as scary as the previews claim it to be.
it was rather dumb, really.
It's not so much scary as it is suspenseful.
It's a very well-made movie, especially for a low-budget indie film. The acting is shoddy, but not bad enough that it takes away from the film.
It looks like a fun movie to see.
I personally think it was awesome.
[sp]the bit where she gets dragged outa the room by her leg freaked me the fuck out.[/sp]
I had to say, I was disappointed. I was hoping for a good movie to keep me on my toes for Halloween. Anybody have suggestions for a better movie?

Well if you're up for some really scary no-talent writing, I'd say run to your nearest video store and look for some run of the mill slasher.
But psychological horror movies are the best.

Thing is, this movie barely has any scary parts.
There are probably only 4-5 scary scenes, and they're all in the bedroom, with on outside. Total amount of time for them? 10 minutes. How long is the movie? 2 hours. That's 1:12 ratio of scary to bullshit. I want my money back.

Exactly, you know something's going to happen (unless you have ADHD) you just don't know what.
Personally, the two parts which I NEVER saw coming was when [sp]she was dragged out of the room[/sp] and when [sp]you hear a rumbling roar from the demon early in the movie.[/sp]
Also, did anyone else notice the Demon was actually [sp]a birdman, based on the image burnt into the Weegie Board and the 3 talon footsteps.[/sp]
Trailers always exaggerate like shit, but this was actually quite intriguing.
The acting was amazing. They acted very natural.
The great thing is, the actors got paid only $500 each. The movie cost about $10,000 to make, and has already produced over 12 million dollars. Goes to show people like Michael Bay that it's not only about a big explosion and lot's of CGI. A good movie just needs the bare essentials: good writing, and good acting.
[sp]I didn't see anything in the ouija board[/sp]
I thought the movie was OK but not a blockbuster. It's like The Ring meets The Blair Witch Project.
ive seen it, let me try to explain, dont be silly we all know that when its dark or someting like that, you tend to walk faster up stairs and so on, this movie enhances that you will be tripping balls for a week atleast.
This was honestly the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. I decided that I couldn't take it anymore and was about to walk out, then realized that that was it and the movie was over. A terrible ending to a terrible movie. The alternate ending didn't make up for the rest of the movie, but it actually made sense. I think that's why they took it out.
The only reason they did it from the camera's perspective is that if they used normal cinematography, they would've needed to have actual content. They would've needed to actually have a plot and make a movie. Almost NOTHING happens in the movie, and what does happen takes ten years, is incredibly obvious, stupid, or you don't see. All that happened throughout most of the movie was either the idiotic main characters arguing, doors moving a few centimeters then back again, an invisible demon leaving some footprints, and a moron psychic guy who comes to the house, does nothing, and leaves. Some people were actually screaming in the theater, making it even worse. When I left the theater, I was burning inside with violent anger that 90 minutes of my life and $7.50 had been wasted.
I don't respect the opinion of a child of this generation. 80% of the time you have horrible taste.
I'm not blindly defending the movie, but your overexaggrated statements make me think you're dumb.
