OP, you're being melodramatic You're doing it fairly well but you're still doing it
Shhhhh.
But leaving would hurt the USA far, far worse. This is America's war. NATO is committed. We pull out, that country collapses, and the USA's name is dirt. Obama's made great strides toward repairing US relations with the Middle East, and to throw that all away for sentimentality's sake is idiotic.
Afghanistan was a shit hole before we went in, and it will be a shit hole whenever we eventually leave. Nothing we do there will change anything. We are just forestalling the inevitable. [editline]2nd May 2011[/editline]
What are you talking about, man? Raping and murdering children? Where do you get your information, MadLib puzzles?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmudiyah_killings The Mahmudiyah killings and gang-rape of a 14-year-old girl by U.S. troops occurred on March 12, 2006, in a house to the southwest of Yusufiyah, a village to the west of the town of Al-Mahmudiyah, Iraq. Five United States Army soldiers of the 502nd Infantry Regiment were charged with the crimes: (i) Sgt. Paul E. Cortez, (ii) Spc. James P. Barker, (iii) Pfc. Jesse V. Spielman, (iv) Pfc. Brian L. Howard and (v) Pfc. Steven D. Green (whom the army discharged before the crime's discovery). Abeer Qasim Hamza was raped and murdered, after her family was murdered. They shot her whole family in a room next to where she was where she could hear them all being killed, and then gang-raped her, shot her in the head, and burned her body to try and hide their crime.

The country would not have collapsed all on its own before it was invaded by the US and NATO. It WILL collapse if the US leaves now, and it'll be completely their fault. So no, no matter how much people hate it, myself included, the US must stay. You don't run away from your responsibilities when you get tired of them.

Or do you turn around and start over? We got rid of Sadam Hussein. We got rid of Osama bin Laden. Time to pack up and come home.
Insurgents currently kill more civilians than the US, and you can bet your ass that will only increase if the US left.
Ah, but Germany and Japan are countries where society has become quite western. And while they maintain military bases there, those serve only as ways to project American power to maintain fast strike capability against major threats, like Russia and China. Besides, Russia has no bases in Afghanistan following their occupation. Nor do any of the other forces that tried to conquer that country.
These days, a conventional threat is quite remote, and I believe that the forward-deployed forces in Japan in particular lack the superiority in correlation in forces and means to defeat a conventional adversary.

We got rid of Sadam Hussein. We got rid of Osama bin Laden. Time to pack up and come home.
Let me explain this to you again, see if you get it this time. The US not only drove down the wrong road, they accidentally burned down all the houses on that road. Now they'll have to rebuild them before they withdraw. Capiche?
What happens next? Maybe the middle east will become more civilized, or isn't that what we want? so that there's no need for tanks and shit? And al-Qaeda? I'm pretty sure the manhunt won't last that long the next time they pull something out of their sleeve. So.. Americans and Arabs will become friends right?
Insurgents currently kill more civilians than the US, and you can bet your ass that will only increase if the US left.
It's a Civil War being waged by religious fanatics. Us being there won't stop them.
So.. Americans and Arabs will become friends right?
Not until the US dumps Israel like a sack of shit.
Let me explain this to you again, see if you get it this time. The US not only drove down the wrong road, they accidentally burned down all the houses on that road. Most of the Afghans and Iraqis want us to just get the fuck out and leave them alone.
It's a Civil War being waged by religious fanatics. Us being there won't stop them.
Except America reduces the violence, and props up the kangaroo democracy somewhat pro-west government, which increases stability.
"Albert Fish killed and ate five children. Americans kill and eat children." "Seung-Hui Cho brought a gun to his school and killed 32 students. But you can believe that if this was caught, there are many more that are not.
No, they don't have to do shit. When we try to help, we only fuck things up worse.
Except America reduces the violence, and props up the kangaroo democracy somewhat pro-west government, which increases stability.
And they hate us more for doing it. Shit, we trained Osama bin Laden and his buddies and gave money to known terrorist groups in Afghanistan so we could get them to fight the Russians, and our continued presence in the Middle East is what prompted them to attack us.
It's a bad thing to celebrate the death of a mass murderer? Are we as bad as Hitler or Pol Pot for being happy that they're dead?
Nah but what the fuck it's not like you should party about it I mean that just proves how fucking crazy Americans are too. But I mean sure you can kinda feel happy about it, but like we all, he was still just someone, doing his crazy thing, mostly hiding and chilling i guess and giving out some orders, then after ten years the US came knocking on the door smiling, ready to bring out something really nice and big and sweet for the public to chew on, and oh boy now it's all over. Don't that seem a little fucked up to you?
You're being an idiot. I didn't say *ALL* American troops were baby rapists. But you can believe that if this was caught, there are many more that are not.
No, you just said "Americans are raping and murdering CHILDREN," with the same sort sort of blunt conviction as you would say, "Baseball is America's pass-time." Like every night after patrol, me 'n the boys go out to rape-murder a child in front of her family, then execute them all gangland-style.
You can't say all wars aren't beneficial, the civil war ended slavery and WWII ended the holocaust. You can say most wars aren't beneficial, however, this one included.
no that's not what world war two was good for it brought our economy out of the depression
It is now 1942 But wait, by killing Nazis we will only be creating more Nazis!
no it's more like saying "by killing hitler we'll create more nazis", which would have probably happened, as he would have been a martyr and inspired more people
No, you just said "Americans are raping and murdering CHILDREN," with the same sort sort of blunt conviction as you would say, "Baseball is America's pass-time." [editline]2nd May 2011[/editline]
Nah but what the fuck it's not like you should party about it I mean that just proves how fucking crazy Americans are too.
Absolutely. I am glad he's dead, but seeing people partying in Washington D.C. all night until dawn was crazy. What the fuck are they partying about? Nothing changed here at home. We still have to take our shoes off at the airport and don't get to have our civil liberties back. Seriously, what the fuck?
seeing people partying in Washington D.C. all night until dawn was crazy. What the fuck are they partying about?
Now I'm no expert, but I think maybe they're partying because the person who engineered the attack that killed their fathers/mothers/sons/daughters/brothers/sisters/cousins/friends is dead.
Killing Osama will do nothing then make the terrorists angry. He can be replaced, just like any other person.
Now I'm no expert, but I think maybe they're partying because the person who engineered the attack that killed their fathers/mothers/sons/daughters/brothers/sisters/cousins/friends is dead.
Is that not a little insane? Feeling happy? Yes. Partying? Bordering on psycho.
The war will go on like usual. Osama will be replaced. And more coalition soldiers and civilians will die. People seem to think that with Osama dead, we've somehow disrupted his entire organisation. He wasn't the only guy planning attacks. His death will change nothing.
It only made them mad and gives them a reason to get revenge
I was in 3rd grade I remember thinking "buildings collapsing awesome" :v:
a bunch of posts about rape
tell us more about your rape obsession
Don't worry, We'll keep troops in the Middle East. Gotta make sure they...uh...whatever.
Here we're like "hoo-rah dat son of a bitch Muslim is dayd" But there they're like "just as they have layed waste to our country, we shall lay waste to theirs"
But what would happen if we do get out? Wouldn't they just keep bombing us? It's not like they would just leave us alone.
