In your opinion, yes. In my opinion, you are a moron who thinks he knows psychology.
I wanted to see how many life sentences they gave him
sure he has a sibling or related to take up his shit again :P
Anyone who thinks the war is suddenly over just because we killed Osama is an idiot. Just sayin'.
Here we're like
"hoo-rah dat son of a bitch Muslim is dayd"
But there they're like
"just as they have layed waste to our country, we shall lay waste to theirs"
Yup.
The whole reason Osama bin Laden did 9/11 was to start a holy war between the USA and Muslim countries.
So far it looks like he has succeeded.
He *wanted* us to attack the Middle East.
He *wanted* us to kill him so he could be a martyr.
And we did exactly what he planned all along.

Source? Our AP World Class was discussing this, and our teacher told us the opposite. Bin Laden did not approve of America's involvement in the Middle East (AKA Israeli conflicts and the Intifada, the Gulf War) and used 9/11 as a way to get America out. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I was in 8th grade or something when 9/11 happened, i got pulled out of school (despite assurances against needing to do that) and i watched the whole thing on TV. Everyone was freaking out and people working jobs anywhere i went were sitting around scratching their heads like what the fuck, concerned about people they cared about and so on.
As for Osama.... yeah we played right into his game. Osama wasn't a moron, he knew what he was doing. The CIA trained him (or people around him) to bleed the Soviet Union of resources and that's exactly what he tried to do with us.
How successful he was is subject of debate, i guess, i won't say. Point is it isn't like he didn't see being killed as a real possibility, of course he did.
What you should really ask yourself is if we should really exert our full military capacity and exhaust a ton of funds every time some jackass blows up something. Not only will we make more people willing to blow stuff up, but sending the full force of our army after these people each and every time this happens will drain us economically. Maybe this will be the debate of historians some day, I don't know, I know i personally believe it was stupid, though.
Well, the extremist are going retaliate over Osama's death so I don't see the point in leaving. Burn the place to the ground like the American way. You abuse human decency so why not just go pillage a town, set some shit on fire, it's the American way.
how many deaths did it take to kill 1 old man? i wonder if it was worth it......

old father time would have gotten him soon
Their main interest has always been Osama. But a lot off Talliban and Al Qaeda operatives have been killed. They are fighting Terror, not only Osama.

America has to think about their standing with the outside world. America is not the most powerfull country in the world anymore. If they would start to pillage villages around Afghanistan they would get a lot more hate then they already have. It is not right to kill innocent people for no reason, just to make a statement to Al Qaeda and the Talliban (If I need to remind you, slaughter their own people)
You need to think before making a post, idiot.
The war will go on like usual. Osama will be replaced. And more coalition soldiers and civilians will die.
People seem to think that with Osama dead, we've somehow disrupted his entire organisation. He wasn't the only guy planning attacks. His death will change nothing.
He gave a sense of unity to the terrorists. Many of them have different beliefs but Osama was able to unite them because he was a charismatic leader. There's a chance that Al-Qaeda will splinter and break apart into different groups and lose that unity that they had. No one's saying it's the end of terrorism, except maybe a couple 12 year olds, but Osama's death will certainly have a huge impact to the enemy.
It's nice to know that he's dead, considering.
I doubt much will happen, he wasn't doing too much anyway. I wonder who the next leader will be?
Cool, you lived in the UAE too! I lived there from 2001-07.
