Winters easy. Just throw some heavy clothes on until you feel warm and comfortable.
When it's hot out, it's harder. When it's cold, you can keep putting on clothes until warm. When it's hot, you can take off your clothes. Can't get any cooler.
It never snows in this shitty state I live in
Chai, snuggies, and Christmas music by a fire with eggnog and marshmallows while watching the snow fall. ^______________^
I cycle to school with just my short sleeved shirt on no matter how cold it gets, my body get used to the cold for the whole day then and so i can walk round school in just a shirt

This guy gets it.
I just sleep with my window open, acclimatize in my sleep. Works like a charm.
I've lived in the Midwest for almost fourteen years now. It can be about 78 degrees on Monday, then 4 degrees below on Wednesday. I don't think I need these instructions. :v:
Right on, MIDWEST RULES /caps
Minnesota is where it's at

Nice thread!
Winter and fall are the easiest times for me, i'm just used to the cold.
Oh, these are just dumb ideas that will leave you sick for the holidays.
Actually, as I believe it, lower temperatures keep bacteria and germs from reproducing as fast as they do during the spring and summer months.
The only reason sickness would spread quickly during the winter is that everyone spends their time inside, in a nice 70 degree controlled atmosphere.
I've got my furnace maintained and some firewood for authentic home heating. I think I'm good to go!
how to get used to the dumb ratings:
step 1: take off all ur clothes and sit inside a box. get acquainted with it
ect.

That works if you're never planning to go outside, oh he-who-refuses-to-fully-read-OP
Stage 4: (This is where it gets hard, but you should be ready by now)
Walk around outside without a shirt on (if you can pull it off)
Walk around outside barefoot.
Get your body used to feeling numb.
Stage 5: (When it actually snows)
Try to see how long you can walk around barefoot in the snow. Trust me, you'll build up an endurance.
Lay down in the snow, see how long you can do that (surprisingly long, actually)
Pfft, here in Finland in the winter we often run out of the sauna and dive straight into a pile of snow, roll around for some time and then go back in the sauna. Then whip eachother some more with some branches that are called vihta (do not believe people who tell you it's vasta, they are corrupt) and repeat.
I'm hoping for snow in England this year and lots of it. Then I can film cars sliding down the hill outside my house like last year. Here, look:
Oh yeah, no brainer there.
People forget that wool is a good -liner- for gloves. Leather's not very good at insulation, but it does keep your hands waterproof and wind resistant.
Leather gloves laced with wool on the inside, they work.
Why is it that every facepuncher supposedly lead a very indoors life?
It seems to me that there's a mix of all kinds of people - similar to every environment.

Winter's awesome; christmas (and all the christmas releases in movies and games, and the school holidays) and snow and my birthday are all in winter.
I never leave my house anyways so I don't have to worry about it.
/me nerds out on the couch
Blanket - Check
Pajamas - Check
Robe - Check
Fire - Check
Kitty - Check
Hot drink - Check
Yup, I think I am ready.
Also, there's nothing wrong with gaining a few pounds for winter.
It makes a good excuse!
I wish I could gain weight :(

Your city doesn't put salt/sand on the roads or anything to get rid of the ice?
A car's gonna go right through his house.
Make a snowman to greet them.
Here are some tips I've tested:
-Put a bottle of water in the fridge and drink from that every morning
-If you have a small bedroom turn off the heating and use your own body heat to keep it warm by exercising before bed, this also help to keep you fit or build muscle cause you have to do it to heat you room
-Go running either early morning or evening
-Take cold showers after running or in the mornings
-Ive discovered the only part of you body you need to keep warm is you hands, so get into the habbit of bending you fingers and wiggling them, soon you'll be able to go out without gloves on as it'll be second nature
these work just look at me in Munich last February

England and we had a shortage of salt when it snowed last year.
Only main roads got salt put on them we don't salt streets.
