After a brisk jog to the briefing, we listen intently and prepare to herd the always-professional men and women of Dancing Delta through an advance in the Aliabad region Bonus video! Awesome. I love the end XD
I wish I could play in a crew this organised. I'd love to, looks hella fun.
This kind of gameplay is basically the reason I bought ARMAII. Sadly I never got a game like that though, even tried joining a clan that seemed to have a rank hierarchy, teamspeak, servers, were playing Insurgency and all but when it really came down to it it was just an "everyone run relatively straight at the current objective".
That was entertaining. I guess they never finished that mission? Seemed like Delta were the only ones left at the end.
The ending was awesome. [sp]Oh look en-[/sp]
must have taken some real effort to get players and leaders this organized, with great ability to follow orders and operate correctly with out some idiot always trying to start drama and branch off.
Finally, an ArmA 2 video that isn't DayZ
How many people were there? What's the max player count? Were the taliban AI or other players? That looks so organised, must try to find one of these games

Not that hard to weed out the trolls and rebels then. Just look on their website. Too bad it's hard for European players to get into, since their training schedule is oriented around the GMT-6 timezone.

ARMA 2 just advertises itself
I wish I could play in a crew this organised. AFAIK, they do this all the time 1-2 times a week http://www.dslyecxi.com/shacktac.html [editline]1st July 2012[/editline]
How many people were there? The website says that a lot of the videos are without context, but some of these events get up to 100+ players. There's player vs. player situations, but this one looks like it was AI [editline]1st July 2012[/editline]
must have taken some real effort to get players and leaders this organized, with great ability to follow orders and operate correctly with out some idiot always trying to start drama and branch off.
Again, AFAIK Shack Tactical does this all the time. I'd imagine it does take a while to organize, but judging from the applying process, they weed out a lot of the worse players. I've applied myself, hoping to get a reply soon. He has the patience of a fucking saint. UO is milsim, while Shacktac is not.
I used to be in ShackTac, we would have ArmA II sessions every saturday, and Wednesday coop-only sessions for pFNG's (Pre-FNG (Pre-Actual-Member)). I left because I couldn't find enough time to play in the group anymore, they do alot of gaming besides just ArmA II, like every friday their Mount & Musket regiment BAB would play in the linebattles. Also they're really tight-knit but welcoming, some people have been in the group for years. The joining process takes like a little less than a week, lots of emails and skype messages with Dslyecxi. They demand alot of commitment, like not just joining for ArmA II, but to be a part of the community and have people to game with. The people in the group are really awesome though, really cool dudes. also Beagle! :D me and Beagle were FNG's together, he fucking shot up the ranks though, he's a really cool dude.

We play every wednesday at 7pm and saturday at 5pm central US time. The sessions usually last through the night. Just today we had people playing on the server for 26 hours straight. I went to sleep at 4 and woke back up and we were still playing and I rejoined. It's probably a new record for us. We don't do the BAB stuff anymore because a lot of the leaders of that got burnt out of Warband. [editline]1st July 2012[/editline]
How many people were there? The enemies were ai, yes. [editline]1st July 2012[/editline] Here is another video by Beagle of another mission at night on the same map.

I love those BAB linebattles, bobik and kevb0 are absolutely hilarious.
what was up with that British medic, she sounded so posh
That's pepper, one of the 2 females in Shacktac :v:
what theres more than 2 females whos the second
Cerebulon I think, she's new.
I can never tell how serious or how not-serious these guys are... But either way, I love them.
Love this game, it's a great base for mods Dayz kicks ass!
Wow, I wish I could play with people this organized. Maybe I'll look at their website.
Considered applying, but I get lost very easily when there is overlapping voices. I would feel like a jackass all the time asking for a Repeat of an order.
Considered applying, but I get lost very easily when there is overlapping voices. At least that's my guess.

I'm definitely interested in joining a group like ShacTac, though compulsory training session attendance isn't something that would work out well for me and it seems every "serious" ARMA group is having those.
