I'm definitely interested in joining a group like ShacTac, though compulsory training session attendance isn't something that would work out well for me and it seems every "serious" ARMA group is having those.
It isn't a training session, it's just a session to get pFNG's orientated in our style of play.

As far as Arma goes, we do Wednesday and Friday sessions and pickup session anywhere inbetween. Wednesday is slightly more relaxed, and is our pFNG session (aka for new joiners) but it's an excuse to play more Arma so it gets pretty much the same turnout as Saturday sessions, which are the main event. But Shacktac isn't a "super serious milsim" group. Read Dslyecxi's TTP2 to give yourself an idea of Shacktac and a bit how it works. http://ttp2.dslyecxi.com/ Hell, even on Shacktac's intro page it has a brief summary of how ST works and all that jazz. If you have the time and you want to play Arma like that then by all means do so, it's a great community and it's not hard.
wednesday is the day when fngs take platoon command and yeah still runs smooth and everyone has fun unless you're jockoflocko
wow it's like im really in this video oh wait
D1 impromptu FTL represent
Man I'd love to be a part of this, too bad my pc is abysmally horrible.
Really thinking of applying to these guys when I get ARMA 2. It just looks so fun to actual play something seriously like this.
If you guys want to apply it's actually pretty easy to get in. It takes a while but there are no artificial expectations and as long as you act mature for the first few weeks you'll fit in fine. Might as well try to join if you ever want to take part in something like this.

Takes up to a month for a response
Takes up to a month for a response
have you even been to a session in the last month
Nope, gonna go to the pfng session tomorrow to catch up, for the past month or so my internet has been really fucky so I wouldn't have been able to play for more than an hour or two.
I'd love to play with Shack Tactical as that is exactly the type of community I like to play these types of games with. Sadly their very strict attendance policy (I imagine attending a session once a month is seriously frowned upon, if not grounds for expulsion), expectation to play other games with them (I simply don't have the time, I usually only stick to one or two games at a time, and have a wide taste for games beyond multiplayer/coop sims... so if I do play more than one game, you bet I'm not going to be doing one that is multiplayer focused), and the fact that their playsessions are always Sat @ 5pm (working while attending college = I will always be at work at this specific time, as will most others who don't do 9-5 jobs or also work while going to school) simply make it impossible for me. When ArmA3 comes around I might try joining but hopefully there are other similar groups out there that do the same stuff but are more scedule and attendance friendly.
