im trying not to get hyped but this looks like everything that Destiny should have been
It makes me a little disappointed with destiny 2. I joined Destiny when Taken King came out and I really enjoyed it, but it always seemed like the reason people complained before that and at launch was lack of content. I don't want to be waiting for the "taken king version" of destiny 2 that actually has a lot of content. I also really liked the crucible before with 12 players, and 8 just seems weak. I hope we get more information about this coming up.
TTK didn't add a whole lot of new content, it just used old content that was just never used beyond a lackluster story missions for vanilla destiny.
It had new content, ofcourse, but there wasn't much of it, what was there was really great and creative compared to what we got in vanilla Destiny, now imagine that creativeness and design for the entirety of D2.
ttk director = destiny 2 director
high hopes
i just want halo to be good again tbh
Post-Destiny Bungie is the wrong developer for that job, then. They aren't the same company they were 6 years ago.

I have the same dream but we can only hope that the current developer of Halo learns from its mistakes. Unlikely, but possible.
It's the first time Activision has released one of their titles on Blizzards client, and the first time a non-Blizzard game has been on it. I wonder if this is going to be a trend.
Found the answer
Don't expect to see a rush of other games joining the service though. "Our focus in terms of supporting non-Blizzard games is solely around Destiny 2. Aside from potentially evaluating needs or opportunities for future Activision games, we don’t have any short- or long-term plans to support third-party games with Battle.net."

Is it still peer-to-peer in terms of the multiplayer? Are there dedicated servers?
It is a complicated typology. We do not have dedicated servers for Destiny 2 on PC.
Welp.
Also just realised Bungie kept their traditions in that the crosshair isn't in the middle of the screen. I wonder if PC players will have an issue with that...
We’ve gone and changed things, like if you were to compare side-by-side screenshots, you’ll find that the reticle is slightly below center on consoles. It’s dead center on the PC. One of the things we found in development is that we were kind of chasing the mouse because of the way our recoil model works, so we’ve adjusted that. We’ve done a ton of work to try and make [the PC version] feel and play like a great PC shooter
How about that, that's good.
