hardly. I didn't say that the premiere was bad at all, I thought it was great. [sp]walt's speech, jesse's line "I'm the bad guy" were both great[/sp] But ending the episode like that disappointed because of how horribly cliche it was, and it was compounded by the fact that they had used the exact same shot before, it just seemed like an incredibly amateur mistake.
looking back on it, I appreciate it more because they went so over the top with the new antagonists (they don't speak, smoke cigarettes, walk away from explosions, etc.) to the point of purposefully making them cliche, which is actually pretty funny. To be honest it would be hilarious if they purposefully build up these dudes to be humongous badasses and then have someone murder them easily, would make their purposeful cliche brilliant.

ehhh, The Wire is in my top 5 shows of all time with The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Oz, and Carnivale, I think all of those are better than BB. Except for maybe Oz.
