Okay, ruin the episode for everyone.
You shouldn't read this far into the thread without expecting spoilers.
I think he shot the tea kettle.

I'm in awe and at the same time, really pissed off.
I don't think so, the camera merely panned to be parallel to jesse
You shouldn't read this far into the thread without expecting spoilers.
No, you should use spoiler tags like everyone else.
No, you should use spoiler tags like everyone else.
or you shouldn't read so far into a thread like this right after the season finale.
That's like walking into the LOST series finale thread and complaining when someone doesn't use SP tags.
who are you?
a contributor to this thread.
Okay great. Use spoiler tags next time, cya next series. Thanks bye.
Damn I really hope the next season picks up right where this one left off. Huge ass cliff hanger.
Okay great. Use spoiler tags next time, cya next series. Thanks bye.
Sorry, but I'm really surprised you ventured into a thread discussing a TV show right after the finale aired and yet your getting pissed at being spoiled.
What did you expect?
HOLY SHIT that was awesome. Can't wait for Season 4. Damn this show rules.
Wow, the ending was just [sp]sad. I feel sorry for Gale, but I hope he is dead for good. He was just a tool being used by Gus. He didn't even realize it I would guess. I'm sure he tried to talk with Walt about his cancer treatment, but that thug was watching them, so he came up with a cover. Look Gale may be strange, but he's a good guy. I will miss him. Finally Jesse did something for Walt, finally he fixed something on his own. Also without Jesse the show wouldn't be as much fun as it is.[/sp]

That song [sp]Gale[/sp] was listening to:

I honestly don't think [sp]Jesse did it. For one thing, I don't think he's a murderer. But more importantly, at the last second the shot changed slightly to make it appear that he shot over Gale's shoulder. Either that or the camera angle changed slightly to move to Gale's point of view before the shot, but I don't think they'd do that, I think they'd keep it in the same shot if he actually shot him.[/sp]
[editline]01:38PM[/editline]
furthermore, there's a shot of [sp]a kettle on Gale's stove, which would be really random to add for no reason. I expect this is what Jesse shot (it's in the exact right position to line up with the angle change at the last second before the shot) though to what end, I have no idea.[/sp]
[sp]Either that or the camera angle changed slightly to move to Gale's point of view before the shot [...] though to what end, I have no idea.[/sp]
I've been wondering about that aswell. [sp]I guess they did want to have an open ending so they can decide later how they will continue season 4.[/sp] Anyway, I really enjoyed the finale.
Fuck that was amazing. I didn't think it took an entire year just to bring out the new season. Fairly sickened about that.
God damn my TiVo. I thought it was just me but apparently from reading thethread it was an annoying albiet clever marketing tactic

No.
[sp]he DID do it. the camera panned to show the front of jesse's face, this is confirmed by vince gilligan himself in two interviews, he didn't mean for it to be ambiguous, JESSE SHOT GALE. [/sp]
Proof:

the ambiguity of the scene was NOT intended, it was a very straightforward ending.
for not wanting any ambiguity they sure made it incredibly ambiguous
I don't want to wait one fucking year...Breaking Bad makes me look forward to Sundays.
And the episode was amazing, especially the ending. Very sad, though.
The whole 'Did Jesse do it or not?' debate shall rage for a good year..

it was supposed to look cool, and it did

no it won't. look at my last post, he did it. vince gilligan said so in two interviews, the camera panned, he didn't move.
there was no intentional ambiguity
if everyone would read the post we could stop talking about this

The person who is complaining about spoiler tags, don't argue with the veteran posters of this thread, if you read anything earlier before the spoilers you'd notice the finale aired, and if you didn't want to see any spoilers you should've exited the thread.
Also, holy fucking shit. I can't wait almost a year for more breaking bad!
I nearly raged...
Watched it Monday on the DVR again. This time instead of stopping short, it recorded about an extra hour. It was that Rubicon preview or whatever.
Well it made me think that maybe it was going to be a two hour season finale deal. Then after [sp]Jesse shoots Gale[/sp] it just ends... I was very disappointed.
But oh well, awesome episode nonetheless. I especialy enjoyed the part where [sp]Walt warned Jesse that they were going to kill him.[/sp]
yeah, when it became a race to get to gale it was pretty intense.
Fuck. I don't want to wait for a new season. Awesome finale, though.
If I was jessy I would not have been able to do that, id probably have just taken the guy and tied him up somewhere until figuring something out.
walt's life depended on it, and walt has saved his ass quite a few times. jessee owed him.
walt's life depended on it, and walt has saved his ass quite a few times. jessee owed him.
yeah but, the guy was so innocent and to just point a gun in his face and shoot him would just be to hard, especially after how he was begging for his life and the scene of how he lives his life, reclusive and simple, just watering plants and listing to exotic opera music, he was just so... pacifistic.
I almost expected it to end with [sp]Jesse to tell Gale to run just like Walt told Jesse to do[/sp]
That's the joke, without such a character there would be no drama and that's what the audience likes. The situation got quite messed up... for good.
I almost expected it to end with [sp]Jesse to tell Gale to run just like Walt told Jesse to do[/sp]
[sp]By the way, Vince Gilligan verifies in an interview that the camera angle changed but the gun stayed as was, pointed dead at Gale.[/sp]
End of story, as sad as it is, but perfect ending for a cliffhanger.
Just holy fucking shit this show is incredible. I just can't believe it was the last episode of the season, this shit is going to break me down bit by bit as I wait for the new season to air, fucking CRAP.
