Just watched season one for the first time, wow the whole bike lock scene was so fucked up, i felt really sad after watching it
:smith:
It's a great point in the story though. He killed the first guy out of security; his life was in danger, he had to do it. But the bike lock scenes, Walt showed change. It cemented the show for me. Walt is willing to do what ever it takes, even killing unarmed man.

Also Walt never wanted to Kill Crazy 8. He wanted any reason not to and was so upset when he found out a broken plate piece was missing.
Still a pretty intense scene.
Lets face it people.
You would do the same thing.

Unarmed?
He basically had a blade.
Any word on when they are releasing the web episodes?
Any word on when they are releasing the web episodes?
Season 4 starts July 14th.
Season 4 starts July 14th.
He was asking about the webisodes, not the show.
And as for the webisodes, those are probably never going to come out.
They should have been released already, but theres no word on it, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
I can't wait for the new series
Season 4 starts July 14th.
The 17th not the 14th.
Well if the webisodes aren't released then hopefully the show kicks off where Season 3 ended because otherwise we would miss some shiiiiaaaaat.
Just finished this :saddowns:. Such a good series, cant wait for season 4. I need something new to watch now, any suggestions?

Dexter? I hope thats not too predictable.
I never saw a thread on it. But yeah.. Dexter is nice.
I used to be a huge fan of dexter, but like most good things it had declined alot in quality over time IMO.
Well, yeah, kind of.
They still had some great writing even towards the end of the last season, but I will not deny, its changed.

Oz.
Oz.
Oh, shit, I forgot about Oz.
I never got to see more then a few episodes but I can tell its worth finding the whole series.
Better yet, The Wire

Well it was pretty brutal, but then again he killed a snitch.. He was a DEA informant you know, and as for Walt he would NEVER go to the DEA.
uh the wire is not better than Oz

wait what? i do not recall this at all. since when was that dude a dea snitch

Walt was hanging in the DEA department and Hank told him that they had an informant but he's gone missing, assumed dead.
Also when Jesse brought the two to their RV, and it turned out Walt was seen in a DEA raid earlier, the Asian thug suggested that they should just "cap em both" (meaning walt and jesse) which means he was no snitch, and as an informant the actual snitch probably didn't want to kill walt&jesse while also didnt want to blow his cover. They were the.. crazy eight and the other, before Tuco and his pals came into picture.
hell how could you even miss something like that..
[editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
also The Wire is definitely on-par with Oz, if not better.
i probably just don't remember it's been a while since i saw season 1
and no, the wire is really good but oz is so much better in every way
My favourite episode was when they were cooking out in the middle of fucking nowhere and Jessie dumped all their drinking water on the generator fire. Shit was intense.
the wire is really good but oz is so much better in every way
Nope. Oz isn't "so much better" in "every way"
The Wire and Oz are different you know. Oz has some pretty deep philosophical stuff in it and is set inside a maximum security prison (thus topics such as hopelessness, love, hate, you know), where as The Wire is out in the streets with all the police, the bureaucracy, the criminal conspiracies, poverty etc.
Though the directing is similar in both of these series, and that's what makes them stand out, especially The Wire.
[editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
Also Walt didn't know he killed a DEA informant, not before Hank told him that the guy was a DEA informant.
what does it's differing themes have to do with overall quality?
Vote on what I will watch next
The wire-Agree
Oz-Disagree
I used to be a huge fan of dexter, but like most good things it had declined alot in quality over time IMO.
I enjoyed season 1 of Dexter, but personally, I think the show is extremely overrated.
what does it's differing themes have to do with overall quality?
oh okay, so what makes oz "much better" than the wire in "every way" then?
lots and lots of male rape
The Wire is pretty much the best show ever made forever.
Why? Two words: Omar Little
Also it has some of the best plotlines ever conceived, the best characters ever conceived, it explores almost every part of society. Overall, it's just amazing.
Never seen this, Should I start watching it?
To give you an idea of what I like, I love Lost and Walking Dead and stuff.
The Wire is the best show ever made forever.

uh how about christopher meloni as a bisexual serial killing rapist?
