i didn't really like the part when walt cried. maybe it was because of the lack of sleep i had but it just felt not all that believable for some reason. like tony soprano's mom.
oh, and I love how they kinda make episodes that seem useless useful in the long run.
for instance, I don't think that that scene with Jesse telling that mexican chemist off by telling the people to clean that shit up with no contaminants wouldn't have been as powerful if it wasn't for "fly"
though I did like fly, unlike most people. it was a fun episode

i thought it was hilarious. they went through such great lengths for something so infinitesimal
Oh, that fly episode. I was so scared at one point that Walt was going to tell Jesse the truth about [sp]Jane's death[/sp].

speaking of that, I hope we get another scene of gus and hector before the season ends. those two have some unfinished business, don't you hector?
I honestly think Gus is quite content with Hector already stuck in a wheelchair waiting to die.
looking back seeing who hector was through flashbacks i wouldn't mind gus coming back to rub it in his face he [sp]single handedly destroyed the cartel[/sp]
what would be the best is if gus did that then hector has an aneurism/stroke/heart attack that looks quite unpleasant and dies in his chair.

Just think how things would be if [sp]the cartel let Gus and his friend work for them.[/sp]
Great, great episode.
I'm watching season one on netflix, then Malcolm in the Middle came on TV. My brain nearly exploded, the dad really has aged a lot.
Gustavo Fring. You. Magnificent. Bastard.
I love how much hidden satire this show has. I'm about to finish season 1 (started watching this morning) and the [sp]escalation of the sister in law's kleptomania[/sp] is just perfect considering the situation.
I have never been so aggravated and suspended at the end of an episode of any show as much as I was with this episode. I was mad that it ended and that i have to wait DAYS for the next. THAT is good television.
Walt's scene and speech really hit close to home for me, which made that scene so powerful for me. Bryan Cranston is amazing. I don't know about you guys but Walt and Jessie's furthered [sp]separation[/sp] just feels uncomfortable to me. I miss the days in which they were bantering back and forth in the RV. Now it's hateful glances and [sp]fist fights[/sp], and it just feels wrong.
Don't get me wrong, not wrong in the sense of bad television. No. It's so real that it makes it uncomfortable, which is an example of amazing writing. Best show on television.
Alos, I still don't care for Gus at all. Yeah he's cool, but I see no reason to root for him.
[sp]Do you guys think Mike was going to shoot Jesse at the very end of the episode before he (Mike) got shot?[/sp]
[sp]When I first saw it, I thought immediately that was the intention, then I brushed it off as my eyes tricking me. Re-watching it now, it certainly seems like it was possible...Mike's gun definitely was pointed at Jesse after Jesse moved to get into the passenger seat, intentional or not.[/sp]
Why would he do this? The only reason he would is under Gus's orders and since Gus saved him from drinking the poison, why would he then have him murdered afterwards, especially considering how he has been proving himself to be a valuable asset?
mike is a man of his word. you know what he said to jesse.
maybe i'll have a looksee at the end to be sure though
[editline]21st September 2011[/editline]
nope it looks more like he was raising it to shoot the guy who got him or just use that hand to help him with the door.
at that range i'd suspect mike to go for the headshot, looked more like he'd have gone for a body shot.
[editline]21st September 2011[/editline]
[sp]nope jesse is totally out of line he's raising it at the guy who shoots him[/sp]
Surely the cartel is bigger than that lot of guys? I mean it's the biggest criminal organisation in the world really.
Surely the cartel is bigger than that lot of guys? I mean it's the biggest criminal organisation in the world really.
not really, and those guys were the bosses. Also is not some kind of secret group and shit it's just drug dealers.

Yes it is. They basically control the drug trade of North America.
Also, they cut off the head of the snake. Not killing the entire thing, but letting all the less powerful underlings rip each other apart until there is nothing left.

There's more than one cartel
Number 10 was the best episode so far is my opinion. God DAMN this show is GOOD!
Imagine what Walt is gonna hear from his brother about this whole cartel indecent.
"Oh yeah, Walt, apparently a couple of guys went and killed the don and his men over a business deal about a chemist and the biggest damn meth lab in the history of large amounts of narcotics."

what makes it worse for me was that in "problem dog", that scene with them discussing how to poison gus and jesse figuring out that he should put the poison in the cigarette, they seemed to be getting along again
And then bam. Jessie won't do it, which causes Walt to flare up. While Walt may flip his lid at Jessie at times, Walt in in fear of his and his family's life. Now I'm not going to say that killing Gus would bring an end to all of Walt's problems, but Jessie won't help Walt (from what Walt can see) do the only thing that will keep his family safe. Which causes Walt to get into it with Jessie. I hope something happens with Gus, so Walt and Jessie stop clashing. (I would also like to mention that this was exactly Gus' plan when he made Jessie go on a ride along with Mike that first time)
I hope they do end up together, and Gus escapes somehow cause I like him.
If the writers decide to end the season with Jesse pointing a gun at either Walt or Gus, or something like that, I'll lose my shit.
But I just realized that Jesse WAS ungrateful by fighting Walt...he still saved his life, and it's because of Jesse's actions last season that they're in this mess

Personally I don't care for Gus for some reason. Like I said, he's cool and all, but he doesn't have a family to preserve (like Walt), or on a personal journey (like Jessie).

Dude, tell me about being obsessive, I wish that the weekend is over just so I can get my fix
I hate it when an episode comes on as much as I love it. I know there is a limited amount, and so I try to save it for when I have a calm day. I hate watching it knowing Im one closer to being done, and having to wait for the next one. So I try to wait as long as possible in the week before watching the episode. Which is aggravating and awesome at the same time.
I've watched half of the available episodes in a day.
I don't want the series to end after 5 seasons.

That would be an amazing ending, it's too bad that if Walt dies at all it wont be until the last episode.
How exactly is any of this Jesse's fault?

Jesse agreed to keep peace with those two drug dealers, but went to try and kill them anyway (I'm not disagreeing with him trying, but it DID get them into this mess)
[editline]21st September 2011[/editline]
But anyway, I guess the weight is bigger on Walt, since if it wasn't for him NONE of the show would've happened, but fuck that
