A strong acid doesn't mean what you think it would mean. A strong acid means that it completely dissociates in solution, letting go of all it's protons, for example HCl -> H+ + Cl-.
A weak acid (like acetic acid, CH3COOH -> CH3COO- + H+ which is in vinegar, or hydrofluoric acid, HF -> H+ + F-) will not dissociate completely in solution, it wil exist in equillibrium, taking back protons (H+ + F- -> HF) and then releasing them again, all the time, while a strong acid won't take back its proton unless taken out of solution.
