Not necessarily. The Sopranos was about Tony Soprano, yet that show had one of the largest casts in history and almost every single supporting character was just as deep as Tony himself. Not trying to slam Breaking Bad, just saying it's not much of a character show, which is why I think it tends to drag when the plot is at a standstill. Episodes like this, however, are fantastic.
Well my level of interest dwindled as the seasons went on until I didn't even bother watching 5. The same thing happened with Dexter. They really had an opportunity to focus on Dexter in season 5 but they blew it because somehow the writers forgot the show was called Dexter and not The Young and the Restless.

Personally I thought Season 5 and 6 of the Sopranos were far and away the best, with the final ten episodes of the show being the apex of television so far.
Man that last episode was an amazing set-up. The season's finale is going to be good.
Best scene other then walt dying.
Best scene other then walt dying.
Oh I'm sure we'd all agree but it says the video is private.
This is true, about the characters. While the characters in Breaking Bad are all great, most of them are pretty one note, with some even verging on cartoonish. But this is less of a character show than The Wire was so it's excusable.
Glad to see someone who sees it too.
The show is about Walt, and Jesse. Everyone else is secondary or less. When you start trying to develop 24 characters on an equal level, things get too complex.
You mean things get too complex for you.
I'm on S01E05, this show rocks.
You have a lot to look forward to. Fucking hell that last episode, as you guys have said, was amazing.
Nope?
You're right, it's working now. And I agree, I nearly spat my drink out laughing at that guy tripping over a rug and breaking his neck! Ahh, reminds me of grandpa.
That Joker laugh at the end was genuinely disturbing. That entire scene was perfect. Seriously I am in awe that was just mind blowing.

And indeed I got a little bad taste out of the recent Dexter season too, but the darkly dreaming Dexter is still there definitely. It's a good show.
My god, that was an intense ending. I can't imagine what to expect in the last two episodes. We still got 2, right?
My god, that was an intense ending. I can't imagine what to expect in the last two episodes. We still got 2, right?
Probably just one.
We would probably have our own mental break downs if they did another two episodes this good. One is enough.
I wish everybody in this thread was my real life friends because none of them watch Breaking Bad besides 2 of them. I genuinely got chills during the last few minutes of that episode. When Gus said he would kill his infant daughter, from then on wards I had the willys. And I don't think Mike will die, it seems too obvious for the show.
I like how the show is about Walt and jesse pretty much 50/50, like their partnership :v:
I like how the show is about Walt and jesse pretty much 50/50, like their partnership :v:
Yeah, pretty funny since they were gonna kill Jesse off originally in the first episode. Glad they kept him though, Aaron Paul has done extremely well.
I love how Ted tripping on the mat at the start of the episode foreshadowed the future ha. I thought it was just good acting at first then when it happened I was like "ohhhh"
Yeah, pretty funny since they were gonna kill Jesse off originally in the first episode. They never even hinted at him dying, so it just happening out of nowhere, completely unrelated to the current plot, would be poor storytelling and totally pointless. Seriously guys, tv shows don't kill off characters for no reason.

Check out this link it has some stuff from earlier in the season. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0903747/board/thread/188895448

Man just reading up on the IMDB boards and there is some cool stuff floating around. Cranston said in an interview that the final scene has no talking, just visuals, and the viewers will be like WOAH oh my god, and that there are about 2-3 big things before that. A few think it will end with Hank finding them in the lab and Walt try's to sort everything out with Hank Jesse and Gus and then ends with Walt putting Ricen in a cup of coffee and ending it there with the ricen container rolling towards the camera, so you don't know who he poisoned. I think that would be a pretty cool ending that would annoy me so bad because I would have to wait a year to see what happened

Theory Breaker [sp]Why would jessie go after gus if Mike dies? I mean, mike might have been seen to second, but he was still seen too and given blood transfusions/operations, if he dies then it's not gus's fault. Especially seeing as gus was passed out.[/sp] What do people think?

And with Cranston saying how there will be no talking, it seems likely. I can imagine everything cutting to dead silence with the season finale ending.
