[sp]Walt will buy a Los Pollos Hermanos and Marie will manage it.[/sp]
[sp]She can't manage a restaurant, she's a kleptomaniac. Will be a lot of burgers missing.
I just imagined half-a-head Gus asking Skyler "I was told you want to buy my restaurant" and falling down after that.[/sp]
[sp]This episode felt like a SERIES finale, not a season finale. The way Walt and Jessie came together at the end and had a little talk, and the way Walt said "I won" just felt like a closing to the series to me. I would be happy if thats how the show ended. Next season, I'm assuming will be Hank vs. Walt or something[/sp]

lol ya
[sp]I think everyone in the thread is right as far as Walt not being sure as to whether or not Brock would pull through, and that he was relieved to hear he'd be fine and really was unsure.
"All parts, including the berries, of the lily of the valley are HIGHLY POISONOUS.[13][14] Roughly 38 different cardiac glycosides (cardenolides) have been found in the plant, some among others"
Walt is very, very lucky that Jesse bought the whole explanation that the doctor gave him.[/sp]
[sp]or Hank decides to look the other way for a while, furter complicating things[/sp]

They knew they might not get a fifth season, thus they ended it to be a series finale if that was the case. But it isn't so all is fine and dandy.

Hank stopping his investigation would complicate things how?
[sp]I have no doubt Walt poisoned the kid. Where and how? Who knows. But that shot at the end was on purpose - Walt is full bad. He will poison even children to protect himself.[/sp]
Walt is not [sp]full bad. If he had even the slightest intention of actually killing the kid he would've used the ricin. He wanted Jesse to be on his side, and that was how he did it.
Every. Single. Action. Walt took was justified. Maybe on the standard right/wrong scale he's not a good guy. But if you're like me, you know "bad" things can be done for good reasons. In my eyes, Walt has not done anything truly evil, ever. I don't think he ever will.[/sp]
Heh, weird, wife changed the channel and Dark Knight is on, at the part where Harvey gets his face melted off and Rachel is blown to smithereens.

He didn't have to let Jane die.

Jesse [sp]told Gus Brock was poisoned. Gus didn't do it, so he knew Walt must've done something. And he realized the trap that had been set. He's a cautious man.[/sp]

[sp]Yeah, this, that's why Walt asked him what he said to Gus.[/sp]

Yes he did. [sp]Jane was going to get Jesse killed. She was a drug addict, she would have led Jesse down a bad road where Walt couldn't save him. She blackmailed Walt and it was the only thing he could do. Besides, it's not illegal to sit and watch someone die.[/sp]
the music in this episode was amazing, overall was pretty epic. Now i play the waiting game.

Yeah, you're right. It's been so long since I've seen what led up to that situation. I can't wait to go back and start from the beginning when season 5 is rolling around.
Besides [sp]it's not likely Walt could've saved her anyways, she died pretty quick.[/sp]

[sp]He could have rolled her over. He had to consciously make the decision to stand there and watch when it started happening. Fuck I want to go watch from the beginning now.[/sp]
It's tempting to get an avatar of [sp]Gus' last moments.[/sp]
It's tempting to get an avatar of [sp]Gus' last moments.[/sp]
Yeah but we don't wanna spoil it for others.
I do believe this was [sp]the happiest ending of any episode of Breaking Bad. Which probably means the storm is coming.[/sp]
Pretty impressive season finale. Big wall of text below.
[sp]I like how it didn't end on a cliff hanger, and for once it feels like we have little idea of what's going to unfold in Season 5.[/sp]
[sp]As far as I can tell, the only real threat that can exists to Walt and Jesse at this moment is the DEA. Gus is dead and presumably so is his operation. The only existing evidence I could see the DEA/Hank picking up on is...[/sp]
[sp]The video recording of Jesse cooking the meth in Mexico could come back, though I believe Jesse was wearing a mask, so that could conceal his identity.[/sp]
[sp]Walt was worried that the police investigation into Gale's death could turn up Jesse's finger prints on the bullet casing, though I feel that if it hasn't turned up yet, that Jesse is in the clear[/sp]
[sp]The last thing I could think of is anything Gus may have had linking Walt to him, possibly on his computer at the restaurant, though knowing Gus, I would think that he would avoid having any evidence to his operations in such an unsecured location.[/sp]
[sp]So really, I have no idea what's going to happen. All I know is that Saul better return, and he should stay once he learns that Gus is dead. Mike could potentially be a problem, but I don't get the impression that he cared for Gus all that much, and only really stayed loyal to him since that was his job. Plus Mike likes Jesse so I don't see him stirring up too much trouble.[/sp]
[sp]My only real wonder is if Walt and Jesse will cook again. It seems like they should just cut their losses since every attempt at cooking has failed miserably. I predict that there will be very little cooking next season, perhaps in the first few episodes, before the imminent danger of the law catching onto them.[/sp]
[sp]And lastly; I think it was pretty clear that someone was watching Walt at the end of this season, the question remains is who. I don't think they would of shown that shot from the view point they did if no one was there, and I could of sworn I heard someone breathing. Possibly Mike? Everyone else was at Hank's...[/sp]

Vince Gilligan on the "series finale-ness" of this season finale:
"That is on purpose. We weren’t sure that we would have a fifth season when we were plotting out the end of Season 4. So we wanted to make the end of Season 4 as satisfying and as complete as possible, not knowing what the future would hold. Having said that, there are a couple of big, outstanding questions still in play. But I agree with you, if the show had not gone on past the end of Season 4 – although I’m very happy to say that it indeed will – but if it weren’t to go forward, I think I could be satisfied on some level, by that episode."

Sounds like Mike might actually be a problem next season.
It's official, Breaking Bad is my favorite series, ever.
[sp]1:20 AM - Arctic -- Rest in Pieces, Gus: whoa
1:20 AM - Arctic -- Rest in Pieces, Gus: so
1:20 AM - Arctic -- Rest in Pieces, Gus: you know how at the end of the episode it shows the Lily of the Valley flower?
1:20 AM - Arctic -- Rest in Pieces, Gus: the one that the kid was supposedly poisoned with?
1:21 AM - sailor moon is my life: yahp
1:21 AM - Arctic -- Rest in Pieces, Gus: 1.) Gus's goons came out of the backyard.
1:21 AM - Arctic -- Rest in Pieces, Gus: 2.) Gus was on the board of the hospital.
1:21 AM - Arctic -- Rest in Pieces, Gus: see what i'm saying here
1:21 AM - sailor moon is my life: iiiintteredesting
[/sp]
interedesting indeed
Amazing ending.
[sp] Did anybody else think for a very split second Gus was going to be a two face villain throughout the show? [/sp]
heh, also, great finale
[sp]Just watched it again and there was definitely someone watching from the parking garage and breathing heavily. Who the hell could it be? I can't fucking wait 9 months to find out, goddamn.[/sp]

[sp]Q.
Given that Walt and Jesse know even less about Gus, and don’t know why he was so important that the cartel could not kill him, could their assassination of him come back to haunt them?
A.
That’s a good question. We will be getting into that when the writers’ room reopens in November. But I can think of one gentleman who may have a problem with it, who’s a bit closer to home, who is Mike, played by Jonathan Banks. [laughs heartily] Mike may have a problem with what transpired, and I wouldn’t want Mike mad at me, I can tell you that.[/sp]
[sp] gus's death is investigated
they find his laptop with the security camera software
videos and pictures of walt and jesse cooking meth are found :o[/sp]
maybe?
I am speechless after that episode.
