Fantastic way to end the season.
I think the next season might be about Hank dedicating his life to finding Heisenberg.
And if the Cartels were too afraid of killing Gus for some reason being his past, then there's clearly something in Gus' past that's going to catch up with Walter sooner or later.
Gus never stopped being badass.[sp]He even died a badass.[/sp]
Quite predictable episode but still great fun to watch.
Got a new avatar..
Gustavo Stinson
Saw it fitting for some reason.
[sp]Gus will appear in Walking Dead[/sp]
The one at the very end was Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi feat. Norah Jones - Black, such a good song I was amazed to hear it on the show
The lyrics (at least in part) are perfect for the story and Walt though.
[release]We touched the wall's of the city streets and,
Didn't explain,
Sadly showed us our ways,
Of never asking why?
Cast down it was heaven sent (and),
To the church no intent to repent,
On my knees,
Just to cry.
Until you travel to that,
Place you can't come back,
When the last pain is gone,
And all that's left is black.
Burning nights, he's coming to me and,
Someway, he'll punish my deeds,
And he'll find,
All the crimes.
But then they ask, when they gunna see them,
Then they gunna ask to feel,
The ghost, the walls, the dreams,
Well I've got mine.
At last, those coming came and,
They never looked back,
With blinding stars in their eyes,
But all they saw was black.
Fooled them,
Hoping to seem like a sliver of evil,
But the part agreed and,
It's not a mask,
So be honest with me,
We can't afford to ignore,
That I'm the disease.
Practical, since we had to be in,
When they were all looking back to me,
And they tried,
Oh they tried.
And when you follow through,
And wind up on your back,
Looking at up at those stars in the sky,
Those white clouds have turned it black.[/release]
I liked the finale although I thought it was pretty predictable that [sp]Walt actually did poison Brock[/sp]
Been looking around, you'd be surprised at how many people can't figure this out even with the reveal at the end of the finale. Heh, one guy was even like [sp]"Ooh, so Brock just ate the berries on his own, no one poisoned him" just because that's the story Jesse bought from the doctor.[/sp]
I think there's one more think about next season: [sp]The Cartel was afraid of killing Gus because of his past. Maybe Walt will find this out?[/sp]
Anyway, great season.
[sp]This. This is supposed to be the story of Mr. Chips becoming Scarface, and I think Walt has just taken out the equivalent of Frank Lopez. Now he'll have to deal with a much bigger fish in the vein of Sosa and his associates. And I don't think it ends any differently for Walt than it did for Tony.[/sp]
Also, some neat little tidbits [sp]the pink bear with its right side being burnt and eyeball missing and this:
http://twitpic.com/6ych7d (found in Gale's apartment)
have been foreshadowing Gus's demise for two seasons.[/sp]
You-know-who's death scene in 1080p:

[sp] Wont the Fire department have to go into the Meth lab to put out the fire, I'm pretty sure Hank can connect the dots and see that someone was trying to cover something up, he still wants to know who the cook is as well and now he has permission to raid the place and they didn't clear out the farm or Gus' office, so there's plenty of evidence to be found to connect Walt and Jesse to the scene such as the security tapes someone mentioned[/sp]

[sp]I don't think it matters that there's a lab down there, it's all burned up and Gus is now dead[/sp]
The finale airs in 6 minutes here, I am pumped!

[sp] Yeah but now that Hank knows he was right about Gus maybe he will want to figure out the real cook? [/sp]
[sp] Yeah but now that Hank knows he was right about Gus maybe he will want to figure out the real cook? [/sp]
Of course, but what will he have to go on?

Let me know of what you think of the ending, where Hank gets shot by Marie
Let me know of what you think of the ending, where Hank gets shot by Marie
You big fat ass!
Wow that was just awesome.
when [sp]Gus walked out of the explosion, i was like how the fuck did he survive, and thought of that time when no one "could" kill him for some reason and thought maybe he was a super human. then i thought he was a robot. then i just laughed cos i couldnt think anymore[/sp]
i do feel like this was some kind of closing, but i understand it and it also means that season 5 will start on a new page, although im sure some parts of this season will have an important role.
well, lucky dester just got out or i wouldnt be able to hold my breath until the next season.
The CGI on his face was amazing, you could see the muscles twitching as he moved his other eye.

This is a legitimate question because I don't really know how the DEA works[/sp]

Uh oh
My favorite part of the finale was definitely Walt's [sp] genuine confusion to why the lady needed so much money for a glass pane [/sp]
huh, i think I wanna do my IB extended essay on this show.
i could write about many things, like my friend suggested, camara work, sounds, important scenes
but what I thought about, was the morality of the show, partnership and loyalty, and bad decisions and how they haunt you
[editline]10th October 2011[/editline]
woah somehting's not right in this post, grammar wise.

That, along with the old woman saying hi, were hysterical.

and the scene with the magnetic bomb and the elevator
I really liked the finale but the part when [sp]gus walked out, coolly straightened his tie, and collapsed with half his fucking face missing[/sp] really pissed me off. It tarnished the episode for me. It was completely unrealistic and made no sense just for the sake of "being badass". ugh. I'll never be able to look past that. Terrible production decision imo
Like for christ's sake [sp]the explosion obliterated the room and caused damage to the adjacent rooms and blew the door out. it makes absolutely no sense that he survived the blast at all, much less with half his face fucked up and him able to just walk out the door for a more stylish death.[/sp] fucking hell I could go on about this forever it was just awful
I really enjoyed the rest of the episode though
gus probably promised himself that he would be awesome when he died one day and he did just that

It was truly for effect, and was very in keeping with the character and with the humor of the show. I really can't think of a more satisfying way for that scene to have played out, and I'll always remember Gus Fring's death.

i can: something realistic that actually made sense
i really just cannot wrap my mind around the fact that that decision was greenlit by (presumably) vince gilligan against (HOPEFULLY) objections of various people (giancarlo esposito? did he really not question his character's legitimacy here? what about all the rest of the crew that don't normally have a say in the creative aspects of the show? did they really not have a problem with the retarded-ness of this, or did vince gilligan/the writers just not give a shit?).
honestly it tarnished my image of the production staff and the series in a small way. I wish I could forget it
