Now I know some quantum physics and understand the electromagnetic spectrum :science:
Just another quick question: are there any forms of radiation stronger gamma rays, or are all wavelengths above a certain number of Hertz classified as gamma radiation?
It feels like MC Hawking did this thread.

Just to clarify/add: For E/M radiation, the magnetic field musn't be perpendicular oscillating to the electric. This is only true in vacuum and depends as always on the material it is propagating through. To the Zinc atom getting ionized by a photon: It was Einstein, who described it quantized. Plank developed the idea of quanta by exploring the properties of blackbody radiation, which Einstein used to explain the outer photoelectric effect.
