We had to kill it, it was threatening our feet. A few days later tons of babies came out of that same corner. It was a massacre.

I've lived in AZ my whole life and never heard of them.
They aren't the most charming species but I don't mind them. They usually mind their own business, eating annoying flies. The only thing that I don't like too much that they can make a mess with their webs.
Also I live in a region where we don't have huge or dangerous spiders so hard to say if my opinion would be different otherwise.
I don't appreciate spiders, they come on my property they die.
Camel spiders are not hostile. Unless you pick it with a stick and be a dick.
Most stories have been about them in the local children stories and in afghan.
Fun fact camel spiders are not really spiders but more of a sub group in the spider/scorp family.

Lies!
Solifugae are the subject of many urban legends and exaggerations about their size, speed, behaviour, appetite, and lethality. They are not especially large, the biggest having a leg span of perhaps 12 centimetres (4.7 in).[3] They are fast on land compared to other invertebrates, the fastest can run perhaps 16 km/h (10 mph), nearly half as fast as the fastest human sprinter. Members of this order of Arachnida apparently have no venom, with the possible exception of one species in India (see below) and do not spin webs.

In the Middle East, it is widely rumored among American and coalition military forces stationed there that Solifugae will feed on living human flesh. The story goes that the creature will inject some anaesthetising venom into the exposed skin of its sleeping victim, then feed voraciously, leaving the victim to awaken with a gaping wound. Solifugae, however, do not produce such an anaesthetic, and they do not attack prey larger than themselves unless threatened. Other stories include tales of them leaping into the air, disemboweling camels, screaming, and running alongside moving humvees; all of these tales are false.

Really? I've squished two in the last week. Neither was very big, but somebody smashed one in the hallway of the second floor that had to be at least three or four inches long.

World shattered.
Still terrifying.
Oh god. Spiders.
I have an extreme case of arachnophobia. Every time I see a spider I start panicking and I usually just run like hell.
Good thing there aren't many large spiders in Sweden, but we do have plenty of Opiliones (those yellow spiders that look like balls with huge legs). Although Opilions lack the ability to create poison, they still freak me out. Sometimes, when there's one on the door to my house, I just stand there for 10-20 minutes wondering if it's worth it to just quickly unlock the door and rush it. :ohdear:
Edit: Here's what they look like

Ugh... Don't remind me of those ugly ass mother fuckers. I use to own a pet Gila Monster which would eat them... This was before I found out gila monsters were illegal to own.
I miss Snap Jaw :c
-snip, wrong button-
I saw a spider in my room before. So to appreciate it, I gave it a hammer.
Next time you see a camel spider, use a knife to cut off its head and legs. Is edible.

Don't you hate it when your reading a thread about spiders, and then you think there are spiders FUCKING EVERYWHERE!
I love spiders. :3
I have a chilean rose hair tarantula, she's really cute.

I love spiders, they still creep me out whenever I see one though.

I now want a jumping spider. May it be this one, or one of the white ones posted before, it's still one of the cutest little things I've seen.
Also, somebody killed your best spider?
We have technology. We can rebuild him

Ah yes...The spyi-der.
This thread.. :ohdear:
I know why I am... timid around spiders. When I was young, about 2yrs old, someone freaked over a spider and it startled me. I never liked spiders since.
I have a scar on my arm from being bitten by a big fucker.
And I still love spiders.

Itchy.
I like bugs and spiders in real life, but the massive, imposing pictures freak me the fuck out
