I quite agree. See strangely enough, I've always had a bit of a bug phobia, and yet for some reason, Praying Mantises never bothered me.

Because they're gorgeus.
Hope one of your so called spider friends bites you on the nut sack, while you sleeping.

Well no, because I could say that about other bugs and I'm still afraid of them nonetheless.

You like cats? HOPE UR BALLS GET EATEN BY A RAVENOUS SNOW LEOPARD

very rare, it's a dark spider
I pretty much hate most insects. With the exception of the Praying Mantis.
Cute little buggers :3:
but spiders aren't insects.

spiders aren't out to get you. Some species are quite docile, like the chilean rose tarantula.

I hate people like you.
Out here in Arizona we've got these little things called "Sun Spiders," more commonly known as "Camel Spiders."
They are the fastest spiders in the whole wide world, are aggressive towards everything, and can grow up to eight inches long!

Scientists have proven (using experiments) that they are terrifying.
Camel Spiders, Oliphids, Harvestmen, "Daddy Long Legs" aren't spiders.
Learn to learn about the arachnid family. Also, a bunch of scared pussies in this thread. OH GOD A SPIDER THAT IS A MILLION OF MY WEIGHT AND SIZE!!! !NOOOES

many people assume 'arachnid' is synonymous with 'spider', I think.
oh god this thread scares me shitless
but i cant help but read through it
I have no problem with spiders.
They're the good guys, they get rid of the Fucking Flies!!
Those Chilean rose tarantulas looks pretty cool, how much do they cost, I don't think I'll be able to persuade my parents to let me get one though.
They must die.
I'm not a fan of spiders but I do appreciate the role that they play in life.
How did you guys persuade your mothers to let you get pet spiders? My mom would die if I got a pet tarantula.
I'd love a Chilean Rose Tarantula, but I get kind of freaked out at the thought of having a giant spider crawl on me.

I got mine for about $20, I believe. They're very cheap to take care of - it costs me about $15 a year to feed mine (two crickets a week). They aren't high maintenance pets; you can leave them alone for days and they'll be perfectly fine.

their feet feel like cat paws when they walk on you, as long as you don't hold them upside down or something :p they have two huge hooks on each of their feet that they'll retract unless they're walking on something unsteady or climbing something.
This thread has encouraged me to get a Chilean Rose Tarantula. Any tips? Or better suggestions? :v:
The best spider is a dead one.
i dont like spiders, but i just cant kill them. if i see one i always try to get him on a piece of paper (takes like half an hour all the time :p ) and then i put him outside :)

Easy solution: squish the roll.
Also, I found a whole nest of newly hatched spider-lings and a huge brown recluse, on my ceiling. I had to kill the poor buggers fear they fall on me some day :saddowns:
Appreciate dem buggas, day clean up yos hosue, like da homies of my part clean up our hood from da rival hoodsters. Keep dem bugs alive, dem like the pimpsters who appreciate cleanin.

Thank you for scaring the shit out of me. I'd wipe myself, but now I'm terrified of a spider killing me before I get the chance.
When I see a small spider living in somewhere I barely see(like under a couch or something) I usually just let it continue to live there. Black Widows and large spiders still freak me out.
I have a fetish towards spiders raping girls.
Must i go seek help now?.
