Sorry to hear that. I haven't had anyone important in my life pass away, so I can't say I know how it feels. I hope you feel better.

This thread honestly made me feel like shit for the times that I have been pissed off at my father, it really hit home the fact that although he can bug me sometimes, he is still my father. I am really sorry for what happened dude, I can't even imagine how I would react if something like this happened.

And just to add, people making jokes about a loved one's death clearly haven't experienced the death of someone really close to them in their lives. So I hope it hits you extra hard when you realize how much of an idiot you are when you experience it firsthand.

It sounds like your father was an incredible man. You were very lucky to have received his guidance for so long. He'll always be with you in your mind, continuing to guide you through your life, and in your heart.
