we were told about 4d at one point, it made my head spin this is meant to be simple
See, I hate the idea that this is somehow representative of a four dimensional object. Go to one of those crappy gift shops and little island stalls in the middle of shopping malls, you can pick up a water snake toy, one of those squishy liquid tubes that has the hole through the middle of it. Its identical in function to this cube, except rounded. It continues around itself in a potentially infinite loop, and its great for masturbation if you shave really well.
That's a möbius strip.
Try painting one side of it.
Try painting one side of it.
It's all one side.

Oh god my brain, I think it's TRAPPED in the 4th dimension.
I don't get the 4D one. It's just a box in a box.
:crying:
I don't get the 4D one. It's just a box in a box.
If you look at a wire-frame cube from a certain angle it would look like a square in a square.
Middle mouse button = rotate the camera on the 4th axis, so you could see into 4th dimension.
Guys, the 4D cube looks like a cube in a cube because you can only see one "slice" of the shape at a time, represented as a 3D object, projected onto your 2D screen. Which is why it's near impossible to play for me...
That's a möbius strip.
No it isn't. That's a Penrose triangle. If you'd trace it, you'd get a Möbius strip. After an hour I completed 4d :D
I messed around with the 4D game, and now there are Headcrabs in my room. Help.
wtf 4d was easy as piss i am fucking brilliant
lol wat is 4d all noes that it only thre d and too d lol so wat about 1 d ? ?????????
I think this game deserves a prize for having the shittiest controls imaginable.
I think this game deserves a prize for having the shittiest controls imaginable.
There's a page called "Manual", read it, all you need are control, shift and your mouse buttons.
What's the point of this
What's the point of this
A point is an entity which may be localized to a infinitely small volume by the means of coordinates, which represent the lengths of perpendicular vectors whose rotation and origin depend on a reference point, thus, a point represents a spatial location which may only be defined relatively.
I'm really not too fond of higher spacial dimensions. My inability to properly understand them makes me feel incredibly dumb even though I know I shouldn't as, as a being in 3 dimensions I can't possibly even begin to PROPERLY understand 4 dimensions. How the hell am I supposed to visualise a direction that's 90 degrees TO EVERY OTHER DIRECTION?! I'm not supposed to, that's how! But... I want to :saddowns:
we were told about 4d at one point, it made my head spin this is meant to be simple
Just so people know, this is the 'shadow' of a 4d cube rotating in the 4th dimension (is the 4th dimension is it's axis of rotation). For a 3d object, it's shadow is 2d. For a 4d object, it's shadow is 3d.
Wow the 4D. I thought the fouth dimension was time.
Time is the 4th modern dimension.
Time is the 4th modern dimension.
And the fourth spatial dimension is what, old-fashioned?
-lolimdumgiveboxes-
Just a note to clear some things up, the actual 4th Dimension is Temporal aka Time. The 5th Dimension is actually the Dimension being talked about here, what they would call the 4th Spacial Dimension. It's just to simplify it out. Here is a lovely line to help. 1st Dimension: Points > 2nd Dimension: Lines > 3rd Dimension: Depth > 4th Dimension: Time (Spacetime) > 5th Dimension: (4th Spacial) We can't give it a description because we cannot percieve how it could be measured.
Actually, it's the other way around. It's 1 > 2 (repeat as needed) > time. Time always comes last. So if you're thinking in 4 spatial dimensions, the 5th is time. If you're thinking in 11, the 12th is time.

[editline]07:21PM[/editline] late
Just so people know, this is the 'shadow' of a 4d cube rotating in the 4th dimension (is the 4th dimension is it's axis of rotation). For a 3d object, it's shadow is 2d. could be easier with 3d monitors
If you have sex while playing this game, you instantly age to a decayed, mummified body.
That was a Cube reference.
