It's good. Personally, I feel they may have done a bit too much in remaking things. It looks too good with some of the lighting and effects compared to the original's style. But that may be the nostalgia talking.
Not to mention that yeah, they may've gotten carried way with GMod's expanded library of character models since 2007. At the least, I feel HL2's base collection should've got more representation.
I swear, the Kleiner and Gordon yelling at Barney skits look like SFM. THe first of the two was good, yes, but It was distracting.
Also, nothing against pony slaughtering, but I think the original sketch had its own charm that was lost here. Same with the "FUCKING WINDOWS 98" sketch.
