I'm fairly interested in getting my tongue split. Thoughts? Pros/Cons (infections, loss of sensation or heightened sensation, something else?)
Heya, I'm sorry to bump this thread from February, but I just wanted to share my thoughts on my next tattoo. So, my pal bought me a ticket to defqon1, and I've been thinking a long time about a new tattoo. This festival inspired me and pulled me into the genre of hardstyle, and since it'll be the first of many Defqon.1 events I'll be attending, I'm thinking about and wondering if I should get me this years logo, "Survival of the Fittest" and the lions head, or just the Defqon.1 logo. [t]http://i.imgur.com/gOgKjRo.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/NkJWRbu.png[/t] I'm thinking about my right upper arm, since I made the Qlimax logo on my upper left arm last October.
Heya, I'm sorry to bump this thread from February, but I just wanted to share my thoughts on my next tattoo.
No need to be sorry as there are no other tattoo threads and tattoos are always actual, I guess. Bumping isn't necessarily always bad.
I've gone far too long without any ink. girlfriends making her way through university and wants to becoming a tattooist, free tattoos ;P

The artist drew it up with just my verbal input before hand. All original work. I think she did a damn good job. On my right forearm, if you couldn't tell, by the way.
Weird I couldn'tfind this thread recently, glad to see it pop bback up. Got baphomet on my leg a couple of weeks ago, going to get a sailor jerry lady face on the same leg Monday then a panther next time I have spare money [t]http://i.imgur.com/jsUQDhD.jpg[/t] This is the lady face I'm getting, thought about getting it done at by Valerie Vargas but aparantly she is a stuck up cunt and the guys at the place I go are pretty skilled anyway [t]http://i.imgur.com/UOjOrIw.jpg[/t]

Thinking about piercing my ears for plugs or tunnels. Anyone that have useful tips for it? (Specificly male)
It's going to hurt like fuck, make sure you use the drops they give you after, and make sure no moisture gets in it. Other than that you should be good (atleast, I was)
Plus, clean them well. They smell awful enough, even when they are clean. Plus infection and all that jazz.
What hurts the most, a tattoo on the upper arm by the shoulder, or on the calf?
I had my first one yesterday on the upper arm by the shoulder. It just felt like a load of sharp scratching, though the dotting was more like a moderately pissed off wasp. It's perfectly tolerable, you get used to it after a bit.
That and the endorphins kick in.
Plus, clean them well. They smell awful enough, even when they are clean. Plus infection and all that jazz.
Mainly mild/natural soap or NaCl? Also do both of you use plugs and tunnels? Most people I know expanded them on their own, but is it possible to get a larger hole then a normal piercing (like 2-3mm)? I want it to look like my ear is still intact.
atm I've got 2mm in my left ear, it looks normal, you don't start with the hole right away.
I know, but did you start on 2mm, or 0,8/1mm?
Stretching ears shouldnt hurt if you do it properly, well i say that, they will hurt a bit its natural, but it shouldnt be unbearable. I've stretched mine, but only one and only a little at a time. as opposed to skipping ones.
I know, but did you start on 2mm, or 0,8/1mm?
Got a normal earring (so 1 mm) and then went to 2mm.

I'm afraid that I'll strech the frame of the flip, instead of having a hole in the flip, if you get what I mean.
Thinking about piercing my ears for plugs or tunnels. Anyone that have useful tips for it? (Specificly male)
get them pierced at a larger gauge i got mine pierced at 8g, saves lots of time
get them pierced at a larger gauge i got mine pierced at 8g, saves lots of time
Does that push the point of "no return", and will it shrink in to a standard piercing (0.1mm), or will the hole always be at 8G (3mm)? Sorry for spamming, I like the idea but it's a little sad if I ruin my ears because I didn't know about certain shit. Thanks for stories, help and advice people.

It depends where the initial piercing is aswell, mine was done pretty central in the lobe so as i stretch it goes outwards and you just gotta determine when you'll hit the point where the lobe will stretch like in picture 2, the one in picture one is definately an 0 or 00 gauge size, it could be even smaller, usually metal ones have a bit extra on the rim on the outer front to keep it in place (Not mine but this is a double 00 stretched ear with a hole plug) ech micro hairs
Yeah, that was pretty much what I was hoping to hear, because someone I know have such a saggy ear and he only had like 6mm, instead of it just being a dot inside the flip. Thanks to everyone, I'll update if I actually start with this.
There's no guarantee that you'll fuck your ears up, nor that you don't. It really depends on your skin and connective tissue. Well if you stretch only little each step, take your time and take care of them (cleaning them regularly, massaging with (jojoba-) oil), the chance increases a lot that they'll go back to normal if you don't want them in the future, but there is no guarantee. They may stay the same at 4mm, or they may get back to normal at 20mm - but you don't have full control over this. Good advice is getting your ear pierced (not with one of those disgusting piercing guns!) at 1.2 or 1.6mm. Those are the normal sizes for almost all piercings. Go to a nice and competent piercer, he should work hygienic and be able to answer all your questions. Clean them regularly with what he recommends to you (here in Germany you get stuff like Octenisept or Prontolind, both are great), but not too often since that stuff kills bacteria but also dries out your skin. You piercer should tell you a timespan where you should do all that, and personally I would wait another one or two month after healing before I would start stretching. With sizes that small you could simply use expanders (meant only for stretching, not to be worn as permanent jewelery - get some nice tunnels or plugs for each step), stretching only one milimeter at once, and waiting at least one month before you stretch the next. Clean during that time daily with (perfume free) soap, and massage some nice body oil like jojoba oil in you stretched lobe, that really makes a difference. For tunnels and plugs I'd recommend to use steel, acrylic or wood - wood even reduces the smell you maybe get and keeps the body heat unlike steel, which is ideal for winter. Personally I don't like and trust silicone stuff, because only a few companies really use medical silicone - chances are that the used other silicone which can fuck up your ear, but if you want some get Kaos tunnels, they're fine. Don't buy your stuff on super cheap sites like Crazy Factory, that stuff is really badly made. Search your local piercer for desired stuff, or look at sites like bodyartforms or Wildcat. Well, those are just some tips which should help you with not fucking up your ear if you plan on stretching it :)
