Brown tints yes, and well pretty much what needs doing from now is Ry'leh in the background, crashing waves, rocks, the other arm grabbing onto a rock like hes pulling himself up, chants from the book, a lighthouse and just the wings and its all good.
Im going black and white/brown shading first before colour, cause maybe ill enjoy it in black and white more than colour, i originally planned for the head to be right up at my shoulder and just be a huge head and tetnacles all the way down, but really it'd look more like a squid.
I wasnt too sure on this iteration of cthulhu at first, mine was a more streamlined look rather than the bulky one here but i've grown to love it and gives offa strong powerful feel.
And yea a few weeks but i doubt ill get more done in a few weeks. maybe a month or two!
While I don't know what you were planning on doing, this looks quite menacing and jumps out and I think that is a great aspect.
Obviously it is all up to you, but right now, without color, it looks like a great sketch from a dusty tome, something that fits right in with the mythos. Plus whenever you add color, the tattoo becomes more likely to get damaged from sunlight/exposure and fading colors, especially if they are not uniform, do not look good. Anyways keep us posted quite awesome.
Aw man I'm so disapointed, one of my lip piercings has gotten infected and I've had to take it out. I don't really understand why it happened either, yesterday when I woke up it was swollen and sore, but I thought it might go down, but today it was just even worse so yeah removing it was for the best.

Taking out an infected piercing is the worse thing you can do, keep it in and seek medical advice. Removing it mostly makes it worse and the infection stays in the now healed over hole.
Put it back in if you still can.

Oh, damn :v: Somehow I don't think I'll be able to get it back in. Taking it out was agonizing, it almost felt as if I was re-piercing the hole but with some blunt. I'll have a go at putting one of my old labrets in, though, I don't want to put the ring back in because I don't think my body was reacting kindly to it.
[editline]4th April 2013[/editline]
Ok yeah nothing is going back into that hole :v: In fact I can't even FIND the hole... when I was taking the ring out, part of it seemed to have been 'swallowed up' by the skin around it... I seriously don't get why this is happening now, I've had these 2 for 6 month odd :v:
Don't try to force it in once you've removed it. It is just that removing infected piercings can lead to an abscess formation, but if you have already removed it and it still looks infected, go and seek medical help as soon as possible. It probably will just go down on its own, but with these things, especially when the face is involved, you can never be too careful.
Good luck!
Maybe we should add a big "NEVER REMOVE INFECTED PIERCINGS" thing to the OP, in big red letters. I heard it SO many times that people removed the jewellery, and that is, like Johnson said it, the worst thing you can do. Go immidiately to your piercer, if he is professional he should be able to help you. Well, if he ain't that great go see a doctor, but for the sake of the piercing and you healthgo try your piercer first. Most doctors still don't have enough knowledge about modifications and how to treat them if something went wrong.
Anyone know where I can get some good titanium jewellery in the UK? None of that coated or "surgical grade stainless steel" stuff though. I have been using Serenity (http://www.serenityjewellery.co.uk/) but their selection is quite limited.
I'm in London, so shops in/around central London are also acceptable.
Try Wildcat. Good quality stuff, and the prices are okay too (at least here in Germany). I've only ordered plugs and tunnels there, looooove them. Never had any problems with them at all, unlike cheaper stuff from shops like Crazy Factory (would never ever recommend them for plugs and stuff like that. HORRIBLE.). For normal stainless steel jewellery CF is okay, never had any problems with that stuff (except for getting the wrong stuff sometimes and bad threads - prepare to lose balls and stuff a lot), don't know about their titanium stuff.

Tell me how to do big red letters and Ill put it there.
You could use
h2 tags
Don't remember how to do the red ones now that I'm actually previewing my post :v:
Is it true that externally threaded piercings (in my case, tongue bars) are dangerous and you should always use internally threaded piercings?
One of the local tattoo/piercing shops (that charges nearly $60 for their piercings for some stupid reason) claims this, and yet they're the only place both online and at local stores that I see advertising these types of piercings.
Thinking about getting this (the text wouldnt be white, it would just be blank)

I think that could look good if it was stylized, but it looks like a really quick mockup in ms paint.
A plain striped rectangle with some plain looking font would make a pretty bad tattoo imo.
yea, definitely would be stylized on the edges. The stripe in the middle is a marker for The Thin Blue Line
So you're really into being a policeman then :v:

Well APP (Association of Professional Piercers) states that internally threaded jewellery should be used for initial piercings, and it makes sense when you think about it because you don't have the jagged edges of the bar going through the fresh wound. They also say when the threads scrape the wound they can harbor bacteria which can lead to infections.
If you do have the option of getting an internally threaded piercing done you should go for it it never hurts to be extra cautious, especially on your face.

I personally wouldn't get it in that lettertype, but who am I.
that font just screams "mr. cool ice" at me
Sorry to deviate from this subject but i'm going back to the piercings.
When i was going through an odd time in life, i used to be very bizzare. At one point i was piercing my face in the back of class rooms in college with safety pins and keeping the holes open with bent round paperclips
A lot of them were ok, my snakebites, my eyebrow but my nose got fucking majorly infected when i messed around and took it out it just caused utter chaos for atleast a month.
It isnt a waste going to a professionals, but if you do do it yourself please be sensible, it aint fun!
Also fuck turning my right arm into a valve sleeve,
I need this on my forearm http://behance.vo.llnwd.net/profiles21/1119356/projects/3776350/63378e91790ef70f007b275453dc4751.jpg
jizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
So last night, I got a Hamlet piece on my left bicep that I think I mentioned a couple of pages back. I'm pretty fucking happy with it.
edit: please ignore the neckbeard; I look hideous
edit numero dos: very late, but it was done by Matt Kerley at Chicago Tattoo Company. Phenomenal artist with the greatest beard I have ever seen.

Guys, I just realised something. Healed bodymodifications are like your permanent teeth.
It's nice to have, but if you don't care for them, you'll get health, social and/or aesthetical problems.
If you don't brush your teeth/let your tattoo dry out, it's going to look pretty bad sooner or later.
If you don't clean your piercings once a while, they may get infected like your mouth if you don't take care.
If you don't clean your streched lobes regularly, they're going to look nasty and smell.
There are also direct and indirect ways of care.
Cleaning you lobe/teeth, that's direct.
Don't stay too long in direct sunlight is the same to tattoos as don't eating too many sweets is to teeth.
Maybe some people should think about it, I've seen soooo many nasty piercings,s tretched lobes and fucked up tattoos, damn.
I wonder where this thread went, didnt see it anymore.
I've been thinking of getting a tattoo of an album cover, but Im not sure yet.

Album art is tricky, but if it's a disc you genuinely love and one that has a lot of personal meaning, then it's something you'll feel insanely proud of every time you see it. I have Converge's You Fail Me on me, and I'm in love with it.
I have five tattoos currently. And planning my next one already
I am going to get a half-sleeve of a peacock, to remind myself that I am beautiful and as a confidence booster too

I adore peacocks, you'll have to show us when you have a design/get it done :)
My eyebrow piercing never seemed to heal fully so I got it checked out by the piercer and he told me it had rejected and it was best to remove it :c
I felt really strange without a facial piercing so after a few days of looking at other ideas I went and got a Madonna piercing.

Photo is a few hours after I got it. I wanted something that I consider subtle and feminine and I think it suits me well, I'm looking forward to it healing fully so I can change the jewellery though.
Well, my tongue is now at a 12 (started at a 14) and my ears are at 10s. Stretching with acrylic tapers sucks, I'm definitely getting a steel set sometime in the future.
I wish I had plugs though, I can't stand wearing tapers for this long.
i just ordered a taper kit off amazon
should arrive by the 14th
this might suck, i've heard the 8g-6g stretch hurts like shit
