• Superior Intelligence and it's implications and applications

I was disappointed to see that this wasn't a thread about superior intelligence and its implications and applications. I was expecting some kind of pondering about artificial or differently evolved intelligence. edit: Along the lines of "Creating Friendly AI"
The term, to put it bluntly, is socially retarded.
I'd say it goes beyond that because there is an elevation of one's personal (in this case, intellectual) status. I view a socially retarded person as someone who does not understand how society works in the first place, much like a person who cannot comprehend facial expressions. I in no way mean to argue, I simply wish I had a single word to use in a case like this. Narcissism with a dash of societal cynic on the side?
Oh look, an IQ test I took that proves I'm smarter than you. Get your head out of your ass, please. [img_thumb]http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/7074/doc102010220pmpage1.png[/img_thumb] Uploaded with ImageShack.us By the way, this is the Stanford-Binet, widely considered to be the most accurate and reliable child IQ test (which is when they're supposedly the most accurate because they rely the least on prior knowledge). IQ is meaningless, and you're a tool if you think otherwise. By the way, to everyone except OP, I am well aware that IQ is a completely meaningless measurement. I'm just trying to prove a point to the pseudointellectual with the superiority complex.
Sweet shit, my name's Casey too, send me the full copy will ya? Also, OP; if you're so damn bored I'll happily switch jobs with you so you can further ponder the monotony in a college students life.
first post, apparently married with children, engineer, annoying topic matter? why is this thread getting replies [sp]oh right[/sp]
to the naked ear it's constant put your gadgets away
you can hear such oscillation if you actually take a second to listen to the fans. you are wrong. fan hums are not constant, and are patterned.
This thread is fun to read because everyone hates the OP.
i call bullshit it sticks until proven otherwise [editline]30th March 2011[/editline]
This thread is fun to read because everyone hates the OP.
not really dude

well the tf2 engineer is a dick then
You sound like a kid from my school. He thinks he is much smarter than he really is, and is overly confident/cocky. No one likes him much.
Chief engineer at a fortune 50 company, married, with children. Post on FP to brag about IQ.
Chief engineer at a fortune 50 company, married, with children. Post on FP to brag about IQ.
Maybe he figured we are just a bunch of morons, and could become our leader!
Thinking you are better then everyone else isnt going to get you a better job
How's that for controversial? The problem is, most of the people who know me believe i, too. I literally seem to absorb information. I also have, what I would consider to be, an obsessive compulsive disorder. When I become interested in a subject I find it difficult to exercise moderation.
I'm pretty sure everyone has that. If you're interested in something then you'd obviously want to learn more about it.
IQ is simply your potential, not what you got boy. And you are being rather arrogant, and before you try and "simplify" how you aren't: having or showing feelings of unwarranted importance out of overbearing pride. Trust me kiddo, if you're still not famous by the time you're married and have a family, you never will, no matter how smart you are.
Superior Intelligence and it's implications and applications
Obviously didn't absorb the lesson on grammar.
"I am the smartest guy I have ever met."
OP has no friends. And because I am lazy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_quotient#Criticism_and_views
I'm incredibly fucking smart, just like the OP. Sometimes I like to melt things with my brain, but I find a much more useful implication in deciding whether or not to post a thread that is complete shit.
Trust me kiddo, if you're still not famous by the time you're married and have a family, you never will, no matter how smart you are.
What? Terribly wrong.
You don't believe in IQ when it's one of the fewer accurate things to actually give something like "SMARTNESS" a definition. Go on, try and define it and I will shred your arguments to pieces.
Measure of intellectual ability is meaningless beyond the social implications of appearing intelligent. True intelligence lies within creativity.

Let's start with: what is 'true' intelligence, and how is this 'true' intelligence more valid than other forms of intelligence?
... wow where to begin. Let's start with: what is 'true' intelligence, and how is this 'true' intelligence more valid than other forms of intelligence?
Don't mind me, I was just trying to sound smart.
op is a cunt
Troll or no troll, it is safe to say op is a fag and has no friends.
Okay op, if you so smart. I got a riddle for you. You are captured by tribesman. They ask you for a statement. This statement will determine how you die. If the statement is true. You will be fried in oil. If the statement is false, you will be boiled in water. What statement would get you out of this situation without being boiled or fried? EDIT: Don't help him!!
Who bets he has aspergers and just wants facepunch to worship him like a god. I'm taking 100's. Also, why does chrome want to change "Aspergers" into aspartames? [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] Is having Aspergers sweet?
It is for the person who has it. My cousin is a child molester, and he got off because he had Aspergers. No joke.
