You may be depressed, but by simply mulling over the problems with logical thinking, and then putting effort into the solution, you can achieve much more than your father ever did.
(But, the xanax is only going to shut off your logic processing... Try grass instead, believe me it works.
My mom uses xanax, and it does her no good at all. Only makes her a friggin zombine :frown:)
I would still be smoking weed, but unfortunately volunteering at the fire station makes it so I can get drug tested randomly.
It's fucking retarded how docs are more than happy to prescribe benzos which are dangerous and addictive as fuck rather than weed.
Unfortunately I am now dependent on the benzos and feel sick like shit when I don't take them.
we share dreams it seems.
but bro, if you're trying to take an EMT course/trying to be an EMT, you should really be extremely mentally strong first, so slow down on the course maybe.
Right now, this is the only thing keeping me going. The thought that I will pass this class and become and EMT. I will follow this through and not let any obstacle stand in my way. I will do whatever it takes to make this dream come true, no matter what.
I do admit that this class is incredibly stressful. It's also one of the faster ones, lasting only 3 months twice a week on Saturday and Sunday from 0900 to 1600.
But this makes it all the better. When I pass this class, It will be just incredible.
So after a week of contemplating I sent an email to samaritans, although now I feel stupid
Why does it have to be so awkward fuck
Samaritans ain't got nothing on parents and doctors who've seen your dick.
Samaritans ain't got nothing on parents and doctors who've seen your dick.
i meant why is it so awkward just to email someone!!
they're never going to know anything me and i can never be linked to what i say but it still felt awkward as hell talking to them
Someone replied though, they seem really friendly, it's nice talking to a complete stranger about my problems (I'm not even being sarcastic, it really is)

do you plan to go the whole 9 yards with the EMT career?
like do you plan to go back for training later on for EMT -I and then later for EMT -P ?

I am not really sure how to address you, but I can tell you, there is always someone better then you (fact of life), you just have to make yourself stand out, that will make you happier. Also, bout relationships, In highschool they normally are not fun (from personal experience). Earlier this year my girlfriend dumped me, I thought I had fucked up, but it turns out she was doing stuff behind my back. It's okay to be nervous about relationships, her dumping me got my self esteem low.
More girl advice:
Just be friends, if you find you can be yourself around her, YOU ARE GOLDEN (ask her out!), and if not, you have a good friend. I have no reasons to talk to people (usually), what I do is wait, and when I see an opportunity to talk about something in common, I go for it. (also, I have somewhat of a stutter, so I usually use text chat, it gives me time to think)
That's all for now, and good luck in the future.
Ps. Sorry about your albinoism, one of my teachers is albino, I have never judged him less for it, ever.
Warning. what I am about to say will sound stupid.
If you're depressed and feeling really alone/worthless, do this.
Buy music. I know it sounds stupid but music can really help with depression. Music is related directly to emotions in your brain and can really change your way of thinking. Make sure you've never heard it before. Tips:
-Stay away from songs that are slow tempo, thoughtful, meaningful, reflective, or sad. Even delete them from your iPod. I'm serious.
-When you buy new music, go for songs that are upbeat and motivated, usually with quick tempo.
-This doesn't mean you should start listening to Hannah Montana (unless you like her). It means you should stop listening to songs like Bohemian Rhapsody.
So, yeah. Pretty much.

I'm feeling suicidal in the most literal way possible.
Suicidal songs, such as the famous Fade To Black by Metallica actually help me if anything.
"Well James been through this, and yet look at him, he's alive and well. I might not be ever as successful as he is, but he lived on and so can I".
All this blame put into music about kids committing suicide is ridiculously stupid.
And I can't take all these optimistic-upbeat-highly motivational songs, it just reminds me how I used to be about as optimistic about life as it get, and now I just can't get out of this hell.

Listen to something new, like the Beatles, upbeat songs are known to help, but I have a firm belief that any song can help. If you are suicidal, don't do it, my friend went to a shrink, it really helped him
EDIT: I also suggest visualization meditation, as nutty as it sounds, it gives you time to be really happy away from your troubles

I'm currently held by a hope things can still get better.
And those songs. Music's overall playing a pretty major role in my life, so while some songs really do drive me even further into depression (and thus - I avoid them), some songs make it feel like I can share the pain at least with something.
It highly depends on the case and the person overall, so yeah.
Oh god, why am I posting here?

I did not want to post this.

My hypochondria, did you mean psyche? Also, don't fret, I am a bit crazy too. You are not alone, I think it would be best for you to see a shrink or councilor or something. I highly recommend it, also, since I can be of more help, describe what this feels like please.

KEEP AT IT BUDDY! Make sure to make a ton of things to hold on to, i've been in your place, and I completely understand what you are going through. While your depression may be part of you, it is not completely you. You can beat this depression! :D

Yeah just realized it comes out very long and disorganized so I'll have to think of a proper way to tell it first. :v:

go right ahead
Not much I can do about this, but I just need to vent...
Got a text from my best friend saying she needed help moving her bed. I came straight over and helped her. We hung out in her room for a bit while she put some stuff away for a garage sale, then we started watching Jeepers Creepers. I was there for almost 2 hours.
So we only watched like the first 30 minutes of Jeepers Creepers when we hear the door open. It was her boyfriend that came in. Apparently he thought that she wanted him to come over and help her move her bed out of her room. He then told her that she was spending the night.
But this is the thing that really got me. I was standing outside her room while they were both in there because I was grabbing my change and mountain dew. I hear him say that he brought something to make her happy. So the first thing that comes to my head was like a gift or something similar. But I walked in the room and leaned up against the door frame and he was holding a bag of weed.
My friend looked at me and knew I wasn't happy about that. I soon left and asked her not to smoke. She told me she wouldn't, so I hope she doesn't.
Now I'm not one of those people that are like "Hurr durr you're a bad person for smoking weed", but I can't help but look at someone in a negative way because of it.
I think I just have something against any guy dating my best friends...

One, your friend probably has good judgement :D.
Two, if you want to make sure your friend isn't smoking weed, ask them if they are
Three, Try to hang out with your friend as much as possible if you don't like her going out with dudes, you get to hang out with her more, and she hangs out with that weed dude less. Win win situation. I can understand why you are worried, don't be. Weed is one of the least harmful narcotics, I hope this will turn out fine, if it doesn't, feel free to contact me

I know weed isn't that bad...
I can't think of the words I'm looking for to describe it, but why do I look down on people who smoke? I mean, my whole family smokes, except me, but I just don't get why I look down on her for that...

How does your friend normally act? Polite and rule abiding? If so, that's probably why. You also might be a bit concerned about her getting caught up in the wrong crowd. If you can't put it into words, put it into a picture or something, that can help a lot. Or when thinking about why, doodle and listen to music. It will help you figure out what's the problem, it helps me a bit.
I wouldn't say she's polite and rule abiding...but she certainly isn't mean and she doesn't go out of her way to break the law. She's a good person, really, but she's just been hanging out with the wrong crowd for far too long. It's hard to describe how someone is over the internet, especially when you've known them for a long time.
I can't help but feel that I was a main cause for why she started smoking...
Guys' I have just not felt any happy emotions, everything is becoming monotone and I'm not feeling excitment in stuff I like. Can you help FP :smith:
Try discovering new things, as you get older a lot less is new to you. It doesn't matter how small the thing you discover is, just go out and do it. Also, plan events, get excited for them. You need to try to create as much excitement possible. Also, take risks, try to get a girl to go out with you (if you are a guy)
Proof of concept: I am bored most of the time, very monotone, I planned a ton of stuff, and I now I am very excited for them.

You are not a cause at all, you've probably helped her from getting dragged deep(er) if anything. Even if she does smoke, request that she not do it around, it will make you forget for a bit, and it will show that you don't like her doing it. Remember, if you are her best friend, you are a big POSITIVE influence on her life, that boy on the other hand (In my objective opinion) is a negative influence, as well as the crowd.

you wouldn't happen to of have or have a crush on her by chance?
if so, then chances are you're just trying to vilify her/her boyfriend cause its not you thats in his place.
Going out on a major limb here though

We dated back in high school. I didn't know her for very long before we started dating. My brother kept asking her if she wanted to try a cigar. I told her no. And I kept telling her no. But then the time came where he actually handed her one, and all I did was stand there and fucking watch.
I should have took it away from her. I regret not doing it.
What really gets me is that my brother kept asking her even after I told them both no. Why the hell does no one take my advice?
Oh right, because I'm just that nerdy kid who sits on the computer all day and plays video games like call of duty and halo.
I might be young and don't go out often, but I would say I'm pretty wise for my age.

I do like her. We dated once. But she's my best friend. She's the only friend I have that I can truely trust.
She was the first person I went to about crossdressing before I even told the internet. And that's really saying something.

I feel so unaware of the reality right now. I've done some stupid and some good stuff lately, I don't think too much anymore. It's really confusing.
