That girl I mentioned before and I talk to eachother I guess. She stopped talking to me after I showed her Minecraft. :smith:
You can still have sex with Minecraft.....Right?
Never, because Facebook relationship status is the stupidest thing you can do to your Facebook and it makes you a pretentious attention seeking whore. The people where it is relevant for them to know that you are in a relationship already know (friends, family, etc). They don't need Facebook to remind them. The stalkers, creepy people or otherwise people who don't need to know your relationship status, don't need to know. So why post it at all? Especially with facebook apps out there that stalk everyone on your friends list to send you messages whenever someone goes single. There's nothign more that makes me roll my eyes than seeing someone on my friends list go "SINGLE" on facebook and everyone goes OMG OMG YOU ARE SINGLE OMG WHAT HAPPENED ETC Who the fuck gives a shit? If you actually give a shit about a close friend breaking up, then hearing it through facebook before anything else is actually insulting
You sound like an angsty teenager that's mad because he's never had the chance to put "In a Relationship" on facebook.
You sound like an angsty teenager that's mad because he's never had the chance to put "In a Relationship" on facebook.
He sounds correct, facebook is shallow.
are you subtly asking him out?
No, not very subtly, I'd say.
I had a friend who told me I'm never going to get a girlfriend unless I stop listening to black metal and start listening to rap instead. I'm not particularly interested in getting a girlfriend at this time, I just want to know if what he was saying was truth or bullshit. To me it sounds like a load of bullshit.
i kid i am just a virgin
We know.
Your friend is a dumbass, the music you listen to doesn't effect your chances of getting a girlfriend. There's this girl I've been talking to on Facebook who knows pretty much everyone in my circle of friends. We both have opened up about certain things in our personal lives (I doubt this is normal for either of us, as we barely know each other) and it appears she's comfortable with talking to me (this sounds lame but I dunno how else to word it). I want to get to know this girl in person as she seems to be a real nice person but I think I should try and get her number before doing that. People I have talked to on Steam chat have said that I'll do it when it feels right, which makes sense. I'm starting to become interested in this chick. I dunno what the next course of action should be: should I talk to her a bit more on Facebook or just wing it and get her number? Thanks.
And like B-hazard said, music taste is a good thing to talk about. Gigs are also great places to go with friends/girlfriends.
Hey, cowboy, MaverickIB. You forgot to explain why there's no friendzone. I'll read carefully.
You'll change your tune after reading some of Maverick's posts. By the way, Maverick, how the fuck do you manage to be right all the time (or at least be persuasive enough to make everyone think you're right)? 'Cause I'm not just talking about stuff to do with dating, I'm thinking of stuff like that argument you had with Lightbourne about what geography was (just stuff like that) and you dominated that argument. Debate advice, please.
It's simple, I'm a fucking genius. I mean, I'm not a big fan of blowing my own horn, but I'm seriously a ridiculously intelligent dude. As for the facebook deal people are talking about, someone already hit the nail on the head. When the girl tries to change the relationship status to being in one with you, then you change it. Otherwise, don't touch it. In order to really debunk the friend zone, you must understand what the friend zone is supposed to be. The friend zone is a theoretical place that is impossible to get out of. Supposedly, once you land in the friend zone, you will never ever get out, it is impossible unless she gets in a car accident and her brain is completely rearranged. That simply is not true. A girl can have absolutely zero romantic feelings for you and see you as just a friend, but that can still be changed. With a lot of skill and even more luck, a guy can escape the friend zone. Since it can be escaped from, it does not exist. In reality, the friend zone is just something pussies created so they have something to blame other than themselves. They treat a girl like she's royalty, afraid of stepping on her toes, and then get upset when she doesn't have an romantic interest in them (brought on by them having no balls). So, instead of blaming their own retarded actions, they go "hurr durr fucking friend zone."
And like B-hazard said, music taste is a good thing to talk about. Gigs are also great places to go with friends/girlfriends.
Met the girl I just started dating at a concert last weekend :v:

It's weird how Maverick lost his notoriety as a douche, and suddenly became a god.
I'm interested in the bomb on PL_Hoodoo, how do I approach her?
Woo, love advice awww yeah. Anyway I asked a girl out and she did offer an alternative date, however I couldn't make the alternative date and she has yet to provide an alternative-alternative date. What do.
Attention; everyone in this thread looking for advice if you are really considering taking the romance advice from people on a forum you are already doing it totally fucking wrong
Clearly you didn't read the OP or you're retarded. Take your pick.
I had a friend who told me I'm never going to get a girlfriend unless I stop listening to black metal and start listening to rap instead. (In fact, it acts as a great screen, because anyone not open minded enough to accept what I do is not worth my time) What you like/dislike are not quite as important as the values and beliefs you have. If she likes rap and you don't, that's probably not a deal breaker. But if you want 6 kids and she wants none, that could be a problem.
I want to get to know this girl in person as she seems to be a real nice person but I think I should try and get her number before doing that. This will do two things: confirm that she is interested in you, and imply that you are interested in her. Both of these are important steps if you hope to get to know her in a romantic context (rather than as just friends).
awful advice
Except for the rape part, obviously.
Does the go out/hang out thing apply in the reverse? Girl asked if I wanted to hang out, and I actually just want to stay friends. Am I in luck (I doubt it, I think she likes me)
How do i break up with a depressed girl?
How do i break up with a depressed girl?
You just do. She'll get over it.
How do i break up with a depressed girl?
why are you breaking up with her? if you're breaking up with her simply because she's depressed then you're not that nice of a person.
However liking similar music to the girl could increase said chances, or at least give a base to start from. Not saying you shouldn't be yourself though.
Yes this is also true.
You just do. She'll get over it.
There's a lot of "my girl friend is depressed/doesn't think she's pretty" questions, you should add it to the OP.
so maverick, what made you snap and made you become one of you instead of us?
so maverick, what made you snap and made you become one of you instead of us?
He actually FOLLOWED the advice he was given, instead of pondering it and never actually doing it.
