Ever read the boy who cried wolf?
Well if you have then you know that the last time I cried wolf the wolf was actually there.
Well too bad.
Ask a pretty, dateless girl that you don't know. As long as you're not awkward about it, you'll have fun.

pretty, dateless
Well there's your problem. All the pretty girls will have been taken now. [editline]27th April 2011[/editline] If he comes back after these 3 days and posts in here is that enough to ban him for even longer or does he have to go through the whole thing of warning him first again?
greatest ban ever on last page, im screen capping that shit, oh my god fucking gold is having a girl over my house to watch a movie with intentions of perhaps not devoting my full attention to the movie a bad idea for the first time seeing her outside of school
I acquired a girlfriend last night thanks to this thread. In essence, I wasn't an idiot and had balls. Makeout sessions ensued.

If he doesn't get the picture after this ban I'm making it longer.

When you go to pick people up regularly, you generally walk up to their door and ring the doorbell and wait, then go back to the car, correct? It was specifically requested that I just shoot a text to the person carpooling with me when I get to her house... I laughed, but I don't see any reason not to if she wants it. It's just that it seems like a weird request.
chill the fuck out are you seriously thinking that hard about the situation? relax jeez
Yeah I was sweating profusely and having stress induced nosebleeds. No, it was a casual question because I briefly wondered that while picking her up this morning. It has no consequences and if no one answers I will be no worse off, I was just wondering what other people generally do. I assume you just read it in a different tone than I meant, but even so; you might want to chill out yourself.
I asked a question a few weeks ago but it was never answered, probably buried under one of the regular massive arguments in this thread, so let's try it again. How can I make myself believe I don't need to be in a relationship when all of my friends are starting to get into relationships? It's starting to make me feel like I need one, but I just haven't met any girls that I can connect with yet and it's doubtful I will for a while so I want to put it out of my mind.
having stress induced nosebleeds.
so.. ugh.. how does that work?

My parents are a little intrusive and it's easier to just walk to the car instead of having them come to my door so my parents can talk to them and ask them questions for 10 minutes.
Can you not just perm him. hes an ass in most threads.- collegegrad. gz johnny napalm
so.. ugh.. how does that work?
I don't know, I've never had one, but apparently people get them when they're really stressed out (hence them being called "stress induced nosebleeds").
I like when people text or call saying they're at my house rather than going to the door. That makes sense.

[editline]28th April 2011[/editline] holy shit.. looking up nosebleed that are induced by stress completely blew my mind... its caused cause your BP got so high it cause's the capillaries to burst in the nose. Holy fuck dude, why are you getting that stressed out over this?

Well never posted here before because I didn't really need it, but I don't have many other places to say it so I will here. we both admitted we liked each other, one thing kinda led to the other, and we're gonna go see a movie like next week or something :buddy: Best advice is in the OP though, just ask em out if you like them, I could of messed it all up if I waited much longer.
I asked a girl out a few months ago and she made an extremely long excuse to say no, and I was okay with it and everything and soon after settled that it'd be better to just stay as friends anyway. However, since then I haven't really seen her much and I haven't seen her at school for like a month. I don't have any other girls in mind for taking to prom, and wanted other people's opinions on whether or not asking her to prom would be a bad move (aka stupid) or if it shouldn't make a difference. I have no intentions on going with her as anything beyond friends, it would seriously just be a friend thing, but I don't know how she'll interpret it if I ask her regardless of whether I say "just as friends." And no, there are pretty much no other girls at my school I would consider asking because the rest of the female friends I have already have dates or don't even want to go, and I wouldn't want to go with someone I don't know that well.
Prom is shit honestly... you will most likely feel like it was a waste of money if you go. But if you're dead set on this, my advice is GO ALONE. Girls will ditch their dates that night, trust me. Don't be the guy bogged down by a "date"... and regardless of if you go or not, you will meet girls at the afterparties.
I get that you're trying to be like Maverick but it's really not some social taboo thing to say you like someone, it's just a less than subtle way of showing you have feelings. If it's handled carefully (as this guy seems like he did) then it shouldn't ruin his chances at all.
No, put simply, it's NEVER acceptable to just tell a girl you like them. Either ask them out or say nothing at all. By saying something too directly, you create tension and awkwardness where there need not be any. Say only as much as you need to ("want to go out and see and get a drink?") rather than explaining your life story ("I've liked you since grade 6!"). Trust me, the first one will go over WAYYYY better than the second one.... and you can always tell her the second one after you've been together for awhile. At that point it will likely stop being awkward and just be cute. It's weird that way, but them's the rules. Again, let me emphasize this: DO NOT TELL A GIRL YOU LIKE HER. Ask her out or say nothing at all.
A question. Is it possible to change a confused 'no' to a 'yes'? Knowing how wouldn't hurt either.
