You realize that you'll always need stupid people. Who will work on construction, plumbing, janitors, garbage men, waiters, clerks? This is just how medieval society was run. The beautiful and smart people were taken into nobility, while the peasants that couldn't think of a way out slept with the pigs and planted crops.
This is pretty dumb, uneducated, arrogant, and ignorant. People who work in construction, plumbing, janitors, etc. are not stupid. Maybe ignorant, maybe not educated beyond a high school level, but not stupid. Medieval society was not run that way. Far from it in reality. Nobility was neither beautiful or smart, it was passed down with birth and inheritance. The peasents had no way to "think of a way out", they were born in their class and were thus forced to remain serfs for the rest of their lives. God, it's like people want to return to feudalism. And all the effort in the world would have gone to waste until... well, let's just say your hour has come again. The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.
:)
There is no problem with the way it is now but our army is tiny compared to that of most other nations in the EU. National Military Service exists in many countries right now including Israel, Cyprus, Cameroon etc. Plus it would give teenagers a job rather than sitting around doing nothing all day.
Give teenagers jobs that stimulate the economy in a positive way, not this military crap which is a waste of time.
OP, you so crazy.
Do you expect me to say, "Oh ofcourse i'm except from the law"? If my own laws restrict me, then so be it. I'm not corrupt, the law still binds me. I am not above the law.
Infantile statement, you can never truly know and predict how you will act and perform when placed under such a tremendous position. [editline]23rd October 2010[/editline]
No. This is our country. This is E N G L A N D We speak English. I see immigration as a privilage, not a right. They come to our country knowing that they will speak our language. If they abuse said privilage, then it will be taken from them. Simple as.
I thought only Americans could be so ignorant, guess not...
On a serious note Britain might be turning into a proportional representation styled parliament, you know, like what Germany had in the 20's, when there was over 400 political assassinations in 3 years, and when there was a hyper inflation... I could go on more.
Enough with the Gman. Unless you're actually saying that it was good, then continue.
Half-Life 2 is a very politically oriented game - it was based on George Orwell's 1984.
Give teenagers jobs that stimulate the economy in a positive way, not this military crap which is a waste of time.
Yeah, that's also true. Things like Work Experiance is a great concept, as it allows the children to learn how work, works. It could work, if we made it so they can do this more. [editline]23rd October 2010[/editline] I thought only Americans could be so ignorant, guess not...
Hardly ignorant. They need to speak our language. And if they refuse, then they can leave. IF they don't want to follow our rules, then they can get out. You're the one being ignorant by being so god damn tollerant. [editline]24th October 2010[/editline]
Half-Life 2 is a very politically oriented game - it was based on George Orwell's 1984.
It was based, but there are only a few resemblences. I could go on more.
Are you somehow implying that something that happened 90 years ago in completely different circumstances could happen again just because of proportional representation? I doubt it will even come back anyway, the Lib Dems have not stood up for any of their policies yet. As for the OP's idea, it's not too bad, I really do think in tough times we need a strong leader who is prepared to make unpopular but necessary changes to improve things.

Also, seats are distributed though percentage of votes, small parties can get in D: Almost exactly like government in Germany in the 20's with England now, the BNP, I think they have 2 constituencies.
As for the OP's idea, it's not too bad, I really do think in tough times we need a strong leader who is prepared to make unpopular but necessary changes to improve things.
It's true. In the past, we have been told everything is going to be alright. If we continue with that mentality, we won't be alright. We need to accept our problems and deal with it.
BNP have zero seats
-Oh I'm sure they did last time I checked (never), well, through proportional representation, I'm sure they will get a seat.
BNP have zero seats
And rightly so. I'm not for racism. Never have been. Never will.
And rightly so. I'm not for racism. Never have been. Never will.
But old people are D:
But old people are D:
Oh I know all about that. But hell, I managed to sway one person into believing my views by telling them about my Immigration Policy.
Clearly, someone's been reading The Daily Mail

I read The Sun. I like how they had a family Encyclopedia, yet their main page is filled with hate. I'm not trying to "KILL THEM NOW" I'm trying to get them to become productive members of society.
Nah. I read The Sun.
Oh, I apologise
I will illegally immigrate to the UK, Work as a janitor for a year, become a full citizen, and vote to continue your reign.

I'm thinking of making a national Newspaper. That is devoted to giving a clear message, and not pointlessly stupid football news and fashion news.
Also, while I'm here - there isn't such a role as 'Prime Minister of England', it'd be Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Of course. The name England Union sounds good, or perhaps: Unification of England.

No. This is our country. This is E N G L A N D We speak English.
Oh don't worry. I'm thinking of making a national Newspaper. That is devoted to giving a clear message, and not pointlessly stupid football news and fashion news.
That'll cost a lot of money.
Oh don't worry. I'm thinking of making a national Newspaper. That is devoted to giving a clear message, and not pointlessly stupid football news and fashion news.
Call it the Ministry of Truth. This is too funny.

[editline]24th October 2010[/editline]
Call it the Ministry of Truth. This is too funny.
Funny. But no. That's just a small idea i've had. But I doubt I'll create one. I don't need it anyway. I have words on my side.
Because everyone in the country is one. We are together. What makes us one is not religion, nor race. It is our Nation. Our Englishness. I fully believe that we can make this country better. But I want to do it in a way that doesn't cause us to be opressed. I want us all to be together, as a nation, not as a religion or race.
Because everyone in the country is one. We are together. What makes us one is not religion, nor race. It is our Nation. Our Englishness. Nationalism and a cry for greater autonomy are just two of the reasons why it's no longer acceptable to refer to the entire kingdom as 'England'.
So are you advocating English republicanism or are you just really dumb? Nationalism and a cry for greater autonomy are just two of the reasons why it's no longer acceptable to refer to the entire kingdom as 'England'.
When I call it England, I usually mean it as Britain, same way people who are scottish would call it Scotland. It's a habit I have. Sorry.
