I think a Tinychat session is in order gents.
Depends really, you can get decent pop.
I wasn't being entirely serious. Sub-genres of pop can be pretty cool, such as noise pop, or dream pop. However, the vast majority of it makes me want to be violently ill.

Folk and all of it's derivative forms, from real traditional English folk songs to modern hipster folk to folk punk like the Levellers.

I can go for anything. Exept pop.
I can go for anything. Exept pop.
By "pop", do you just mean "everything that's popular", or just music that sounds poppy with simple beats and lyrics and such? Because if it's the first one I can relate to that, as "top 40 music" is just annoying to me because of how much you hear it everywhere whether you want to or not and the fact that it's mostly not very interesting. But if it's the second one, you're just closing yourself off to a whole world of music just based on a small part of it. No matter what genre it is, you can always find at least ONE band that you can enjoy.
Everything.
motown is pop :colbert:
Mostly Stoner and Psychedelic Rock.
Chill Wave, Hip Hop and any Indie music
Done a bit of ambient (Mostly Aphex Twin and Tangerine Dream), loads of prog, but then the orchestral kind of metal is right up my alley too. Then just some alt rock, and some psychedelic.
Classical
I'm really into glitch music right now for whatever reason.
I like rock, but not metal. Rock helps me mellow out a bit more, and relaxes me at the end of a long day. Stuff like Nirvana and Blue Oyster Cult really calms my nerves. I also like a little Dubstep, and some electro music, like Daft Punk or deadmau5.
I'm not too picky when it comes to music. I can listen to anything from K/Jpop to deathcore.
motown is pop :colbert:
Some of the greatest songwriting in history was in that era too. Hate that and you really aren't tuned in. :mmmsmug:
Hey, I'm xiempie I like tons of genres, each for a different mood; mostly indie rock and folk but also shoegaze, post-rock, surf, garage rock, blues, ambient, stoner/doom/sludge, drone, hip-hop, post-punk, hardcore punk, jazz (sometimes), classical,... Some genres I don't really like; IDM (the term itself is so pretentious, and it's '2deep4me'), most metal (I enjoy some doom or sludge and even black metal sometimes, but i'm not too crazy about the rest), prog rock (especially modern prog (metal) like A Perfect Circle, Porcupine Tree, Devin Townsend, Dream Theater, Tool...), glitch, and modern dance-pop music.
I like you. Your musical compatibility with xiempiethps is SUPER Music you have in common includes The Antlers, LCD Soundsystem, Fang Island, Band of Horses and Modest Mouse.
Folk, hmmm... I don't think I actually have any folk music in my library, I need to find some good folk stuff. So much I need to do. :byodood:
Try Thayer Cabin Stizzles.
Try Thayer Cabin Stizzles.
interesting :v: I'll listen to it now, if I can.
Hip hop is probably my favourite genre, I think about 45% of the music on my PC is hip hop, maybe 25% reggae and the rest is everything in between
I'm still not sure what genre my library predominantly consists of. That's why I'm using Last FM.
150/361 albums are classified as hip hop or rap, except there's probably more when you have things like turntabalism and trip hop which are very similar to it. And to an extent things like acid jazz are similar.
I'm still not sure what genre my library predominantly consists of. That's why I'm using Last FM.
For me that's probably nintendocore, and other core genres. :v: Whenever I put my entire library on shuffle, I mostly just hear nintendocore, grindcore and mathcore.
