Bad Company 1's rendition of the traditional Battlefield theme is also pretty good. I always found it strange that BC2 didn't have a variation of the theme

Makes me wanna play some BC2
even though it might be common it's still not popular, which is the main reason the remix was chosen.
Drury, you clearly don't understand the point of marketing. The music wasn't chosen to fit the era, it was chosen to set a tone. None of the music you have posted has matched the tone the original trailer was going for.
All they had to do was mix in some vintage instruments when they were bass-boosting the seven nation army remix. Just to give it a bit of character rather than just reusing the same washed up thing.
Am I supposed to download FLstudio and make my own Seven Nation Army remix in the vintage style to prove a point.

As much as I hated the trailer, I don't think adding ragtime or electro-swing or some upbeat sounding vintage piece will make it any better. It's supposed to be WWI, one of the most bleak and brutal wars in history, so I don't think the music you're posting would fit very well, no offense.
Okay to illustrate my point, here's what I mean, it's Seven Nation Army, with a hint of brass and guitar to fit the 60s soundtrack of TF2, the song is not ruined, it works perfectly, it's dramatic and bleak despite the trumpets and whatnot.

You can do the same with marching band instruments no problem.

Uh, that trailer used an edit of the exact cover used in the Battlefield 1 trailer. There's about 2 seconds in that trailer where the instrumentation is different.

It's quite a bit different, but yeah, it didn't even hurt that much did it?

Yeah but it didn't add anything either. If all you want is a random trumpet then you're asking for something which would both be inconsequential and unfitting for the theme they were depicting in the BF1 trailer.

Yeah they did the safe thing and absolutely nobody complained.

By safe I mean cheap.

Nobody being 9 pages of argument in the other thread, and you posting multiple alternative songs in this one, sure.

and the tone that the shitty remix of 7 nation army set was terrible.

People keep saying this. What would you use in its place? The only piece I've seen so far that would actually work is the Woodkid song someone suggested and even that would almost certainly not have had the same effect.
This was a reveal trailer, it was designed to get people hyped, so it's a staccato burst of short, fast cuts emphasizing the noise and movement of the war. The music fits that. The only weak point to me was the vocals.
They could have done a trailer set to period music, but it would not have been as exciting to people who are not us - people who were not by default interested in WW1 because of misconceptions about it being a boring/slow war. This trailer got them on the hook per its design. How many among Battlefield's playerbase (and beyond) do you really expect would pay attention if the first thing they heard was a tinny trumpet?... the answer is not many. They would discount it and look away because it fits their ingrained notions about WW1.
This reveal was a fairly well set up surprise and delivered a shock to the industry and players, who ate it up. You are going to have to face the facts: old timey music is nice and interesting to people who are already interested in that period, but there needs to be a modern hook for people who aren't to get their attention.
I would have at least used the original of the song lmao. Yeah, the video was edited well for the song and that's the reason all these other edits aren't that good - because they only have the pieces from one trailer.
Wubs and bass drops dont set the tone for the World War period at all.
it reminded me a lot of Our World War, but at least the songs they used in that weren't offensively bad and actually fit the mood for when they were used.
It's a synth remix of the original that's noisy and for lack of a better word kind of "crazy" sounding with its musical implementation of feedback and other noise. I think the original would not have fit at all.

This is not dubstep. There's no "bass drops" or "wubs".
My problem with the original trailer is that, for WWI, it felt too cinematic, for lack of a better word. As said earlier, WWI was not a pretty war, and I feel like giving it this "fuck yeah epic" vibe for it's trailer is kind of weird. I understand that it's for the sake of selling your game and also that the game is probably gonna be like that as well, but, in my opinion, that doesn't excuse the shittiness of it and, in the case of the latter, doesn't really make great for a WWI fps.

yes for this cut, that's very obvious since it was cut for a specific song.
what I'm saying, and what I'm sure everyone else is saying, is that they would have liked another song that was also cut well to the images - not just slapping it on to this one. Which to be fair slapping other songs on does work in some small bits, but not overall because its not really cut for those songs.
