In Argentina we play a lot of rugby, here doesn't exist what you people call "Futboll". Rugby is the second most played sport here, the first one is Futboll(the real one, that you know as soccer)
I hate being put into prop because the rest of my forward pack has no idea how to pack a scrum. I'm bloody 6'2", i'm not built like a prop nor should I play as prop.
grr.

What are these cryptic meanings..
I'm OK at Rugby. It's probably the sport I'm best at.
What I don't do:
-Rucks
-Mauls
-Be in actual teams (as in school teams thatplay other school teams)
What I do do:
-Run through everyone handing off and smashing through
-Don't stop for anything.
-Tackle well when I can be bothered
-Outsprint the sprinters just for that 50 or less metres to the finish
-Score once, ignore the game for 5-10 minues, repeat.
If you are referring to the rucks/mauls, then I basically dont like contact sports, they fucking scare me, but rugby I can do some bits of. If it's my run and smash tactic then I do work with my team, if I can't make it or if there is a better way I will pass rather than idiotically taking the ball unneccicerily into risky situations (unlike most people I know), and truthfully once I have the ball most of my team stop and let me just go at it. That is if they ever give me the ball.
And if you are referring to my lack of being in proper teams, then I simply am not that interested in rugby, and I dislike playing it against people I don't know. Since I am not in a team we play looser rules rugby. We have a laugh rather than kill each other.

sure..... If you like to fall on the ground and cry!

Dude i wasn't disrespecting you! Just from the way you put your first post it sounded like you didn't give a shit about your team and unnecessarily gave the ball away but the second post cleared that up! relax dude it cool.

oh yea and your team seem like dickheads!!!
In finnish schools we play rugby in snow :c00lbert:
I love to play some sports but don't like watching it. I don't know why.
i play Rugby, and i love it.
unfortunately i live in a small country (Denmark) where nobody knows what Rugby is.
the best thing is that my team (H.R.K) is winning the Denmark Championship, beside that we have only played a year or so.
^^sorry my bad english :/
lol tigers you suck

Awe wicked! shame Finland are shit hahaha!
The difference between rugby and football, other than the pads and game play, is that in rugby its more about grabbing the opposing player and dragging him down, while in football you full on collide while running at him head first.

Ok douche bag no one here is trying to compare the two sports! I just made this thread to find out what people think about rugby and for those who don't know about the sport, to educate them on the sport! so your post is FUCKING RETARDED!!!!
I hope your joking.
Also I'm british but I find american football more interesting to watch, rugby's never really interested me.

Again not comparing the sports retard!
I love rugby, I live oregon U.S so theres a small league around here, I actually started my Schools club and im pretty proud of that! i play strongside flanker (7) and hooker sometimes.
Rugby is a good way to rid the world of idiots. Anybody who thinks a sport is fun because it's more painful than another sport needs to be killed, they are a danger to other people. What better way than to make them kill each other and convince them its "fun".

I don't mind playing prop, I got put into lock just as many times. Also I like to rack my cleats through a guys balls in a mual and he's not on my team if the refs not looking.
Its brutal stuff from my past experience.
In finnish schools we play rugby in snow :c00lbert:
I'm from Indiana and we played in the snow also, even when it melted and re-froze into ice chunks.
Sports are boring
I'm over the whole rugby thing. It's an overrated sport here and you always hear about it on the news.
Have fun with your paddings, I'll go get pummeled into the ground with no protection in rugby like a real man.
[editline]5:31[/editline]
Disregard the innuendo. thank you.
Rugby is finess, with average sized men.
American football involves hulking beasts who would end up with fatalities if they hit each other with enough force.

I 50% agree with you! I really dislike that about the game! Its a great way to get rid of some stress as any sport is! I just enjoy rugby the most. On the other hand its a contact sport and some people find that a thrill and i have no problem with that but if you play rugby you'll know how to take a tackle and walk away from it so its not dangerous but very "fun" as you put it ;-)

well I set up this thread to talk about rugby not american football and i didn't really like the way it was going about comparing it to other sports so i'd rather it kept to rugby and not any other sport. I.e American football!
I play rugby. I don't find myself particually Bad ass, of course, I am but no more so than y'know, VERY bad ass people :smug:
I'm joking about being badass, incase you think I really am that smug.

cool! what position do you play?
Rugby > Football
Why?
Because we don't have two inch padding everywhere. We don't even wear cups. All we get is a mouthguard, and 1cm foam shoulderpads if we wish. the occasional scrum cap to protect your ears from coliflowering.
Oh and I usually play prop
