So far I plan on testing:
-a mixture of diesel and oil (Dad's idea)
-Gasoline with Styrofoam dissolved in.
-Denatured alcohol (perhaps I will try it with dish soap too, but Denatured alcohol is goddamn expensive, the device will have 10 gal capacity!
-WhatTheKlent's suggestion
People, please keep in mind that this will be able to handle fluids that have a much higher viscosity than a stupid super-soaker flamethrower, the output is 1/2" metal pipe before any optional fittings with 100psi behind it.
Gasoline with Styrofoam not such a great idea the mixture would be to thick.
make this.

Holy fuck man :aaa:
Put one of those water wand things on a propane tank. I saw some Vietnamese people do it and it looked so cash.
Home Depot in the US sell something like that. Used one for the burn piles up at my girlfriends cabin. Shit is so cash.
I have a sneeky feeling (seriously) that if you do ACTUALLY do this we are going to be reading about this in the newspaper with a headline like FacePunch causes FaceFire or some fail shit like that.
Your going to die
Do it.
Anyway make sure you do some special shit with your tank of fuel because the reason deoderant + fire is dangerous is because if it goes into the tank it blows the fuck up...
Get a lava lamp and stick it on a stove.
LavaBomb
Thats pretty sick. Reminds me of Iron man. It must have taken him FOR EVER to make that though. Send it 2 the army
make the feed for the about 0.05x0.05cm and make the pressure high.
Also make it so the feed cap (part with hole and gas goes out) changable so you can try horizonzlly widened flames (2x1cm) and vertically widened flames (1x2cm).
ITT: People with very little knowledge of how flamethrowers are safely constructed give advice to a man attempting to make a flamethrower out of duct tape and plumbing parts.

Thanks, but everyone obviously knows I am a genius.
I'll show all the haters when I'm done! The first trial run will be recorded. Explosion and death or not, it will be uploaded.
Use methanol for an almost invisible flame :D

The system is compatible with any pressure washer nozzle.
should you have a heat guard on this thing?
When you do try it out, wear some fireproof clothes as I don't want to see you go up in flames.

Yea, I was looking at a racing "Fire Suit". Those are like $100 for a cheap one.
Use liquid hand soap and gasoline. 2 parts gas to one part soap, mix well. Take an airbrush kit, and modify it to fit a bigger "fuel" tank. Get one with a spray control built into the handle, mist to light it with what ever you use, then jet to light things on fire. Burn stuff, you'll probably get burnt too, but that's half the fun of trying to make stuff like this.
add a can of compressed air to it so you can airblast projectiles.

I could get 3-port CO2 regulator and be able to do that, but adding an airblast feature would cost about $100 or so.
I think when it is done I will list it on eBay for $699.99 or $649.99
when you make your flame thrower pls make a video of you burning through a thin styrofoam wall , should look epic :v:
whut happend with the flamethrower?
Kill furries with it
oh wait i'm a furry
Kill CheeseMan and Kattollil with it.
maybe the op made the flamethrower but it malfunctioned and he died in flames , thats why he hasnt updated the thread v:fuckyou:v
Build a casing for your flame thrower.
Oh cool.
Tell me how this works out..
Some general tips:
-Point it away from yourself.
-Point it away from other people.
-Keep the fuel storage away from open flames.
That made my day haha.

It's coming along well. I will update main pics in a minute. Thanks for reviving the thread.
BTW: STILL ALIVE
