Because uniformed masses are driving prices sky high
[editline]7th November 2012[/editline]
And I was going to a gunshow this weekend too, but I'm not going to be able to afford anything anymore :C
I was only missing the upper for my AR too....
Hopefully.
It will probably be p. bad for a few months at least.

I've got $1500 in my bank account that will be unlocked right around the time panic buying dies down
why is everyones gun projects being put on hold
Because the hype about Bronco Bamma wanting to take all our copkillers away, and everybody is out buying copkillers so things are p. expensive and on backorder.
gubmint wants our gnus
I was talking to my step father about slugs and he offered me his Remington 870 with a rifled barrel that has never been fired for 250$, since he'll never use it ever.
Apparently he bought it like a month before they passed a law that allows you to hunt with a rifle in our area (before you could only hunt deer with slugs).

We already have 2 kits for AKs, one Polish the other American, and we're getting the parts for turning the polish into an RPK.
We have plenty of magazines, as far as that goes. We even have a 75 round RPK magazine, though it's old and (shockingly) has a bad spring.
I need to buy a couple more mags for my AK as well...
EDIT
2 more Bakelites, 3 more Bulgy poly mags ordered!
cool thing about AK builds, you can just cram a parts kit (which is not considered a firearm and cannot be regulated as one) into some sheet metal
So... Anyone wanna place bets on when the AWB is rolled out..?
That has nothing to do with the AWB. That treaty regulates the international trade in small arms to war zones
It won't do squat to private shooters unless you live in Syria or some shit

an AWB would ban distribution, not construction. if it banned construction them government and law enforcement agencies would be forced to buy either old or foreign guns and that's bad for both the US economy and the American gun industry.

May be, but the UN treaty won't, it's nothing like the AWB and has no impact on domestic firearms trade

Actually, that treaty was a piece of shit. It banned selling guns to "non-state entities," essentially meaning it banned selling guns to people. Even Canada wanted blatant exemptions in the treaty for small arms for civilians, something most other nations opposed, because even it could see that the treaty would ban civilians from owning guns.

Could you cite that thanks?
Like I said on the other page, Blame the NRA and their myth creating wonder.
They for some reason still have a reputable name, when all they've been doing is peddling right wing shit ,since columbine ruined their image for gun rights.

A lotta shit about "State-parties" dealing with each other, jack all about businesses, especially as it relates to import/export.
The treaty also essentially mandates internationally regulated, and stupidly expensive, registries and cohesive tracking on all guns, a registry that we here in Canada just managed to abolish nationally, and registration of ammo. Such registration and tracking efforts would be stupidly expensive, ridiculously impractical, and practically unenforceable. The treaty was designed, blatantly, to make the sporting use of guns too expensive and annoying to undertake, and there was no move to exempt civilian sporting arms from the treaty, with many nations, including your own Australia, opposing Canada's proposal to exempt sporting arms from the treaty, and decrying Canada's suggestion.
No matter if it banned selling guns to people or not, this coupled with the fact that they probably mandated you abide by the expensive, wasteful UN marking regulations, means that it would drive the prices of guns and ammo up too far for them to be affordable, especially if they ever needed to be imported from one country to another, and instate so much bureaucratic red tape to acquire a gun that people wouldn't bother.
It would also likely lead to those few lucky people in the Western World who own tanks and other heavy weapons having to register, and possibly surrender or have destroyed, their legal property.
That would imply that militaries must register their arms inventories, no military would do that
have you guys seen this video?

I just love how fucking rugged it looks.
Like seriously. It looks like it will take the reliability factor up by a ton. And that's saying a lot.
[editline]8th November 2012[/editline]
Like, it looks like you could beat someone to death with it and it would come out with not even a dent.
Talking about holding it longways and slamming it downwards onto a skull.
And the best part is it has a different enough system to the previous AKs that a semi-only one that cannot accept automatic parts may be legal in Canada. We may be able to get an actual AK rifle here, if they ever start producing them.
3. A State Party shall not authorize a transfer of conventional arms within
the scope of this Treaty for the purpose of facilitating the commission of genocide,
crimes against humanity, war crimes constituting grave breaches of the Geneva

Oh. I forgot all of the nations that are currently committing genocide or intend to commit genocide a) purchase their weapons legally, b) would never lie about their intentions to get weapons

If you want a regular makarov, you do NOT want this. The Makarov is a full size service pistol. The p64 is a concealed carry weapon. If you wanted a cheap PPK in 9x18mm then get the p64. The Makarov is much larger in comparison.
