i still have no idea why the hell AK platform guns would be illegal are AR's banned too?
I actually hope they're not, it means they'd be legal here.
It is not banned under the massive list of AK varients
- AK-47 rifle, and any variant including AK-74, AK Hunter, AKM, AKM-63, AKS-56S, AKS-56S-1, AKS-56S-2, AKS-74, AKS-84S-1, AMD-65, AR Model .223, Dragunov, Galil, KKMPi69, M60, M62, M70B1, M70AB2, M76, M77B1, M78, M80, M80A, MAK90, MPiK, MPiKM, MPiKMS-72, MPiKS, PKM, PKM-DGN-60, PMKM, RPK, RPK-74, RPK-87S, Type 56, Type 56-1, Type 56-2, Type 56-3, Type 56-4, Type 68, Type 79, American Arms AKY39, American Arms AKF39, American Arms AKC47, American Arms AKF47, MAM70WS762, MAM70FS762, Mitchell AK-22, Mitchell AK-47, Mitchell Heavy Barrel AK-47, Norinco 84S, Norinco 84S AK, Norinco 56, Norinco 56-1, Norinco 56-2, Norinco 56-3, Norinco 56-4, Poly Technologies Inc. why is dragunov on there? the design is just vaguely similar in appearance and not even remotely related to the AK
Even that galil is banned? oh wow.
Captain Canada, FAMAE 542s are on their way to tacticalimports and apparently Polish Tantals may come. I don't see how the Tantals would get in though since I think they're an AK at least partially [editline]12th November 2012[/editline] so now we get a plastic-y looking SIG-FAL thing [editline]12th November 2012[/editline]
Why would anybody want a Chilean gun? I'm Chilean and i'd like to know.
It is not banned under the massive list of AK varients
is canada retarded?
is canada retarded?
Yes, the Liberals who instated the gun bans are retarded. They literally went through a gun magazine and banned "scary" things. ARs were supposed to be banned, but the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association made a compelling enough argument not to, so they made all of them restricted, regardless of barrel length, which means you can't hunt with them. They banned AKs by name, and all variants. Pisses me off, because I want an AK, but I can never get one. I'm also disappointed that the Tory majority hasn't done any real repealing, getting rid of the gun registry was one thing, but I want to be able to get a snubnose revolver and an AK, and not have to ask the government's permission to take them to the range.
canada sounds like such a nice country minus your awful gun laws you have my condolences
I blame the 1989 École Polytechnique Massacre and the Quebec Hell's Angels biker war during the '90s for the shitty laws here.
Why would anybody want a Chilean gun? I'm Chilean and i'd like to know.
Cause its a black semi auto .308 we can own. We are doing our part internationally by supporting the Chilean economy
Why would anybody want a Chilean gun? I'm Chilean and i'd like to know.
Because everything else is fucking banned, and if we can find an evil looking black gun that isn't, we'll buy as many as we can just to piss off the Liberals and the bureaucrats who don't want people owning guns.
If anyone is interested, the full list of firearms banned by name here (Canada) is here: http://stason.org/TULARC/society/guns-canadian/24-What-is-banned-in-Canada.html#.UKGCA4fLTaw
They're not even legal to own in Chile, you Canadians can buy our guns being 9000 kms away while we can't get them around the block. I have never, ever read more retarded gun laws than those of my country. Seriously, Australian and UK laws come close, but they're not as bad.

your banned gun list literally makes no sense did they just watch a bunch of action movies and ban the guns they saw in the movies? i see the AUG is banned, how is that any diffrent than the AR's that arent banned? both are in 5.56 and have 30 round mags i just dont understand. im sorry but you guys have some seriously retarded fucking laws
your banned gun list literally makes no sense did they just watch a bunch of action movies and ban the guns they saw in the movies? i see the AUG is banned, how is that any diffrent than the AR's that arent banned? both are in 5.56 and have 30 round mags i just dont understand. im sorry but you guys have some seriously retarded fucking laws
I can't think of any country that has guns laws that make sense. In Australia they arrange longarms into 4 categories. In theory they're supposed to be from firearms of least risk to high risk, Cat A being of least and Cat D being of high risk. But they put pumpaction shotguns and semi-auto .22s in the same category as self-loading centrefires, while lever action shotguns are Cat A, perfectly legal for me to own. Look at New Zealand, they allow any longarm with just a licence and no rego, except "Military Style Semi Automatics", basically any gun that looks scary
No banned gun lists make sense. It's all fear-mongering and media hype.
like i just got done reading a article about how the canadians RCMP which i guess is canadas gun control organization, they banned the AP80 which looks like an AKM but is internally nothing like the AK and is chambered in .22 but they banned it for the sole reason of it looking "scary" and grouped in the AK family. thats makes no fucking sense and isnt even true thank god im an american

That's why the palm sensor on Bond's PPK in the new movie concerns me, they may see that and think it's a real, viable thing, and mandate it be installed on all handguns. They literally banned the SPAS-12 because of Jurassic Park. [editline]12th November 2012[/editline]
like i just got done reading a article about how the canadians RCMP which i guess is canadas gun control organization, they banned the AP80 which looks like an AKM but is internally nothing like the AK and is chambered in .22 but they banned it for the sole reason of it looking "scary" and grouped in the AK family. thats makes no fucking sense and isnt even true thank god im an american
The RCMP are the federal police force, they've been given the "responsibility" (See: abusive power) to oversee firearms ownership in Canada. Thankfully, they can't usually arbitrarily ban things like the AP80, but that one was a crock of shit technicality.
well that makes sense, you gatta protect the endangered dinosaurs and obviously that specific 12 gauge shotgun that performs like any other shotgun should be banned so civilians dont kill any dinosaurs [editline]12th November 2012[/editline] im learning so much about Canada!!
this is why you shouldn't let people who didn't finish high school become politicians. That shit is full retard-retarded.
I blame the 1989 École Polytechnique Massacre and the Quebec Hell's Angels biker war during the '90s for the shitty laws here.
Wait so Is Quebec pretty much mostly responsible for the shitty state of gun ownership is Canada?
Wait so Is Quebec pretty much mostly responsible for the shitty state of gun ownership is Canada?
And they're also most in favor of gun registration last I recalled.
And they're also most in favor of gun registration last I recalled.
That I knew, didn't realize we had fucked shit up to begin with though Sorry rest of Canada, would you forgive us in exchange for poutine? :v:

It does make it really obvious that the list is composed of "evil guns" from movies and violent vidya games.
I chuckled at the G11 ban. It does make it really obvious that the list is composed of "evil guns" from movies and violent vidya games.
They just took a list of guns from cowwadoody and slapped ban on it, I guess.
I chuckled at the G11 ban. It does make it really obvious that the list is composed of "evil guns" from movies and violent vidya games.
Jesus Christ, that is the most retarded thing I think I've seen in law
I chuckled at the G11 ban. It does make it really obvious that the list is composed of "evil guns" from movies and violent vidya games.
They might as well be banning fictional weapons at that point. New to Canada's ban list is the MA5B and variants, Gravity gun, and AR-2 "pulse rifle".
The biggest problem is our gun rights organizations are quiet. Nobody knows about them, no politicians fear them, they never release media campaigns, they have no public presence, but all our media is always propagating for gun bans, always saying that these prohibitions are somehow making Canada safer, despite there actually being evidence to the contrary. We need a public presence here, gun owners have told the organizations that we need ad campaigns, but they don't have the money or the patience to fight against the bias in the media to allow ads to be screened on the anti-gun media channels. It's an uphill battle, and we've made a little headway with repealing the long gun registry, but until I can buy an Izhmash Saiga in 7.62 and a 3" S&W Model 60, and not need any paperwork to bring them to the range, then the gun laws here are still far too broken.
