My dream AK would be an AK-47S Also, did H&R make M1 Garands during WW2? I heard they were a korean war only manufacturer, but I wanted to get another opinion.

H&R was granted a contract to produce the M1 rifle during the Korean War, although the first deliveries of the rifles were not made until after the Armistice. H&R manufactured the M14 rifle during that rifle's production cycle (1959–1964). I figured I could get a Vortex Strikefire and an AK mount for about the same price as what Kalinka wants, though. Then this dropped into my lap.
Hnnnggg a local shop has a Winnie 1897 and a Browning A5 lt.12 both priced at $400 DECISIONS.
I never quite understood how this crosshair worked. Would you aim with the dot or the chevron?
The dot. The chevron points to where the dot is so you can find it easier.

I'd imagine it would take less than a box of ammo on a shotgun or centerfire rifle to ruin it.
Are Stag Arms AR15s a good entry level AR?
Kobra
Always wanted to get an AK74 and put a Kobra on it.
I tested a few airsoft optics before, even some of the higher priced Eotech replicas, and none of them work. Even on a .22LR, the adjustments aren't designed for any sort of recoil. After the first shot, the sight will start moving. If you are worried about staying cheap, look at Primary Arms. These are replica sights that are actually designed to handle recoil. They are priced similarly to the airsoft replicas, and they get really good reviews.

7.62x35? Huh, that's an interesting round.
I've been looking at some P-64's as of late and they look really fun for a beginner pistol do you guys agree? Pretty cheap too.
So I always heard that dry firing a weapon is bad for it bt then I went to bootcamp (MCRD Parris Island) and I can't even tell me how many times we dry fired our M16A4's. Especialy during grass week we would snap in and then just dryfire over and over and over for hours at a time. And something I thought was kind of funny was that our Drill Instructor insisted that if we mixed our bolts up when cleaning the rifles that if you had someone else's bolt in your rifle and you fired it that the rifle would blow apart. On a side note I named my rifle Jamie and I shot expert with her.
Honestly I don't think dry firing your gun does any kind of damage. About the bolt thing, theoretically, since all of the rifles will headspace slightly differently, if you get one that's way off you could experience a catastrophic failure. That being said the likelihood of that happening is almost none.
Dryfiring is only a problem on older and competition rimfire guns. It MAY hit the chamberwalls, thus digging in your chamber. Causing stuck cases and wear the hell down on your firing pin, causing it to not work.

It held zero for about 300 rounds of 7.62x39 Not bad but I wouldn't trust my life with it
Got to fire a Walther GSP in .22LR today. Think I fired fifty rounds or so, at 20 metres. Pretty nice pistol, 'cept it kept jamming like crazy because it wasn't cleaned properly. I managed to keep most (read: some) of my shots within a three inch group. As a first-time shooter with bad eyesight, I can't help but be just a tiny bit proud. :v: [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] Christ, look at that thing. Looks like something out of sci-fi if you ask me. :v:
all that pistol to fire such small rounds.
.22LR is itsy bitsy teeny tiny boolit.
Oh Christ is that trigger upside down?
that grip looks like something off a mateba, what the hell is that thing?
that grip looks like something off a mateba, what the hell is that thing?
IPSC gun
that grip looks like something off a mateba, what the hell is that thing?
It's a competition pistol. It's the adjustable hand rest (?) that makes the grip look funny. Also, the weight is shifted towards the rear to keep a better balance, and I suppose the trigger is upside down so the pull is more natural.
Delivery for my reloading supplies failed AGAIN today. Yesterday they wouldn't leave it like I expected. Need a signature. Today I give instructions to leave with my neighbor, who said they would be home. They weren't. So now I have to take tomorrow off work to wait for it, or else it gets sent back to the distributor.
AK12 coming to the USA next year. SO. EXCITED.
