Yep, BB guns, airsoft guns and paintball guns are treated the same as .22s, and shotguns
[editline]15th November 2012[/editline]
I once read this news report saying "10,000 handguns discovered in cargo container" and everyone was praising Customs for removing all these dangerous guns from the community. Turned out these 10,000 "guns" were just springer airsoft pistols.
Fucking ridiculous
so uh
what are the laws on a private citizen importing a firearm in the united states

pretty shit apparently. probably still cheaper to import an SVD than it is to buy one here though
Most businesses here won't do it, and IIRC, because it's Russian Military you can't import it anyway. That's why we have so many of them here for so cheap, and Russian SKSes for $175, is because they can't go south of the border, else they would have, and we'd never get any, or the prices would shift.
SKSes come here by the crateful, importers will sell 20,000 SKSes in one shipment 6 months before bringing the shipment in, same with the crates of various surplus ammo. SKSes come in waves here, the 20,000 are sold to the dealers, they buy them by the thousands, and they'll sell some for $175 right as the shipment comes in, but keep some for the 3 month period in between "shipment costs" that they'll then sell for $225.
Romanian SKSes are almost unheard of here, it's almost all Chinese and Russian, I only know of one dealer/importer in the country who bothers getting Romanian SKSes.
Alright so I've got a Model 700 in .243 ( its my grandfathers ) and the bolt is smooth as butter unloaded, but whenever I try to load a round into it, the smoothness goes away and it sticks a bit, what can I do to fix this so I can have my butter feeling, Would polishing the feed ramp help at all?

try cleaning the chamber, if that doesn't work there's not much more I can tell you without looking at the gun myself
Found a box of Remington CORE-LOKT soft tip 7.92x57. Got mixed reviews online, most of the negatives were about it being underloaded (170 grain) and feeding issues due to its round tip.
So when I go sight in my Mauser can I just use surplus Yugo I have or would I have to use the same type I plan on hunting with, or doesn't it really matter?

you could use surplus yugo, but just check it against what you're hunting with to make sure it's not too different.

Isn't Walmart a ripoff for guns though? I thought there was something wrong with them so they're only good for ammo

other than the poor selection? nothing as far as I know.
I'm considering Selling my PSL. It is stock internally and is very clean, wood in good shape except for front upper handguard is cracked in the 12 o clock position parallel to the barrel.
Accessories include:
8 ROMAK/PSL 10 Round Mags
1 POSP-6X VD (NOT the much more common 8x) Scope mounted to the Molot Rail
Universal 3 Slot Barrel Clamped Rail
Universal Bipod Clamped to Said Rail
1600~ Of Light Ball '54R Ammo, from Bulgaria (Third Gen, stapled ammo).
I'm thinking starting the bid at $2000 (ammo not included at that price.). Any offers/recommendations on anything (like where to sell, price, what to include/not include, etc...)?

Jesus Christ why.
Alright so after shooting my rifle for the first time ever (woot!) I came upon the arduous task of cleaning it. I seemed to have done everything correctly (used Hoppes No. 9) but there was still a considerable amount of copper fouling still in the rifling of my barrel. I went out and got a boresnake because cleaning rods, in comparison, seemed pretty tame and lackluster. After using the boresnake and an Otis 085 UltraBore (apparently a higher concentration copper solvent) I still have tons of copper fouling in the rifle of my barrel. Here are some pictures I was able to grab of it as best I could with my camera. Any suggestions?

It's not a big deal, but future tip, copper solvent typically can take awhile to actually do any good. I would fill the barrel, and leave it sit for a couple of hours. You get much better results this way. Don't let it sit too long though, like overnight. Copper solvent can damage the barrel if it's left in for too long.
^Yeah. I have a can of Gunslick foaming bore cleaner. I use it after scrubbing the barrel in my AK after shooting corrosive ammo.

There are zero issues with Walmart guns and ammo. It's literally the same thing any other place in the US gets, just better pricing. Walmart does not need to have a large profit margin on guns like other stores because their total gun sales do not even account for one percent of their profits.
AHHHHHHH
Classic Arms is selling both PU scopes and SKS rifles, and I'm completely fucking BROKE
AHHHHHHH
walmarts in my area doesn't even sell shotguns anymore, because it's a ~growing community~ and some soccer moms threw a fucking hissy fit.
Yet, we have a wide selection of knives, ammo, and high-power pellet guns (which shoot at over 1500 fps) all just chilling out on shelves, unsecured.

They actually leave the ammo uncased at your Walmart?

Some.
They actually leave the ammo uncased at your Walmart?
Yuuup. I can walk through the isle and stuff some shells in my pockets. I didn't mention it, but it's the shotgun shells and .32 and below rounds that are just chilling on shelves.
[editline]15th November 2012[/editline]
the rest are behind that glass casing, and even then all that takes is just asking one of the inept employees to open it for you and you can take as much as you want.

Shotgun ammo at mine. Rifle and pistol, as well as shotgun slugs are locked in a clear cabinet.
WOO PANIC BUY 2012!!!
