Now Trunk, how about prices for all-Russian SKS and TT-33?
couldn't help you there, it's been a while since I've seen an all Russian SKS or TT-33 down here in south Georgia.
IIRC, weren't Russian SKSes about $500? And I don't think I've ever actually seen anyone here from the US mention prices for Russian TT-33s, it's almost always Romanian, Yugoslavian, or Polish copies.
In Socialist State of Coldfuckistan, Norway, you are always carded for ammo. No matter age. I wasn't even allowed to buy .38 Special, because my gun-license said .357 Magnum. The female tortoise at the policestation, said that I could only list one caliber per weapon, so I said .357 Magnum, so I could buy both. Then everyones favourite Knights Templar Anders made it so you couldn't buy .38 Special when your license only said .357 Magnum. The guy behind the counter said he could loose his job if it was discovered that he sold .38 Special to someone with .357 Magnum on their license, and this was an educated gunsmith that knew my teachers and he accordingly owned his own .357 Magnum revolver.
So, getting carded everytime you buy ammo at walmart vs not being able to buy ammo you are usually allowed to because of a paper error made hundreds of miles away? I know I'd choose.
Oh and .45 is like .80 cents per round if you find it cheap.
How would owners of combo guns (multi caliber weapon) be able to buy ammo for the barrels, if it is only possible to list one caliber per weapon? Weird thing that semi auto rifles are not banned because of Anders. Nah, the politicians and the people are paranoid, so I guess I'll have to buy one soon, We just need one more armed madman incident/time before they actually do.
Yeah, in Norway, it would also cost you 64$ for 50 rounds of 30-06 target ammunition(Norma golden target) (regular gun store).
American prices have always baffled me.

This is the cheapest gun you can get in my country (that is the actual one). The definition of a junk gun.
That'll cost you 250$. Not including the 100$ registration tax.
I'm amazed. Gun is more expensive in the US then they are in Canada, in general.
In Canada you have to show your firearms license every time you buy ammo, and in Ontario and probably Quebec the province maintains a ledger of who bought what ammo, and how much. Granted, if I wanted, I could buy ammo online from Alberta and have it shipped, nullifying that stupid requirement, but I'd need to e-mail the company a copy of my license.
The good thing is there's no restriction on what calibre/type of ammo you can buy at the store, though I had someone claim his brother got interviewed by police because he bought a calibre for a gun that wasn't registered to him, but I'm almost positive he's full of shit, because they never check the ammo logs, and I've done that plenty of times myself and never been contacted, and even if I was it's not illegal to do so.
I thought that was bullshit "company policy" for some stores but not a law. The fudds on CGN always get mad about that and say they put themselves down as mickey mouse and shit.
I thought that was bullshit "company policy" for some stores but not a law. The fudds on CGN always get mad about that and say they put themselves down as mickey mouse and shit.
In Ontario it's provincial law to record the name, PAL #, and type/quantity of ammo purchased, and it's supposed to be the store clerk doing it. If it's any other province than Ontario and maybe Quebec, then it's store policy, but in Ontario it's law. The fudds on CGN aren't always the brightest, they get angry at Bass Pro for recording their ammo because they thought the death of the Long Gun Registry meant the death of the Ontario Ammo Registry too, but it didn't. In Ontario, Bob Rae's useless and draconian ammo registry still exists.

Nah you're just seeing cherry picked examples. As a whole we usually pay a lot more.

I wonder why most shotguns look the same. Sure, the action might function the same from gun to gun, but why don't they try having different receivers?
Shotguns and revolvers confuse me

The grip angle on revolvers always confused me.

No reason to change the look. They all use the same action and thus look very much alike.

Innovation.
It's pretty hard to innovate the pump-action shotgun, it's such a simple design.
What about the Kel-Tec KSG?

Has two 7round tubemags that you can alternate between(similar to the UTS-15 except you don't have the option to have the gun do the alternating for you) in a bullpup design with an 18.5'' barrel in a 26.1'' overall length.
I would easily buy one of those if there weren't 3 in my entire state.

Eh, it's just two magazine tubes smacked together. Wouldn't be exceptional difficult to do. Though I will admit it is the most innovate thing to happen to the pump-action shotgun in 50 odd years
I wonder if anyone makes a mag fed pump action? :v:
I'd like a double-barrel pump-action just because. Something like 2 mag tubes and 2 barrels with one big pump, and one trigger pull fires both barrels.
[editline]19th November 2012[/editline]
Then have a big fat ejection port on the bottom, or one port on the left and one on the right.

My mental image of this is hilarious
I work in a gun shop and the KSG is backordered for a very long time. Never got an actual date, but they just can't put them out in the quantity that people want. They are supposed to run around 800$, but we've seen them run at 1600$ and up...
