no clue if it's any good or if it's worth getting, never read up on these before. Just saw it on buds front page a few days ago.
it's probably pretty bad that I'd rather have the smoker than the rifle
Fuck the rifle, smoked meat is positively unbeatable.
it's probably pretty bad that I'd rather have the smoker than the rifle
Any particular reason? I haven't shot any Browning rifles, but hey free rifle. 26'' barrel, 300 wsm, five round magazine.
There's also the fact that I'm a college student and have no room for a smoker.
Any particular reason? I haven't shot any Browning rifles, but hey free rifle. 26'' barrel, 300 win mag, five round magazine.
it's .300 WSM, not win mag. somewhere between .30-06 and proper .300 win mag. the action on browning rifles is fine and they're plenty accurate, but I just don't have a place in my arsenal for another hunting rifle, and my .270 will take any game on the north american continent from way further out than I can see down in the southeast where I live.
a good smoker, on the other hand, is something I've wanted for years.

Browning rifles are generally of good quality. I wouldn't sell a kidney for one or anything but they're certainly nothing to scoff at. .300 WSM is kind of meh in my opinion though.

should have an AOW stamp on it, unless that 12 gauge barrel is rifled
Ruger 10/22 charging handle is stuck on its pole. For some reason it has a bit of wiggle in it. Any suggestions?

pull back really hard and then smash it into battery? not sure what you mean by stuck on it's pole
Try hitting it back with a rubber mallet. It's probably stuck, nothing major.
Yay, finally unbanned, no more posting on my alt

wouldnt that potentially cause some good amount of damage to the pole the charging handle sits on considering the position and angle its connected to the pole at?

Pics of the problem would probably help.
Also, friendly reminder~
I'm going to regret posting this short snippet of a parody I just thought of, but

Let's compare guns, I'll tell you whose, is worse
Let's shoot all these bullets and replace them with our own loads...
We live on front porches and shoot guns all day,
we get by just fine here on a student's wage
If guns are a labour I'll slave 'till the end
I won't have spare cash 'till they're all in my hands...

Not sure if it is a good idea to say you were dodging a ban publicly.

Alts are cool as long as you don't have multiple accounts going at the same time (for gimmicks ect), and don't conduct any shenanigans on your alt.
P.S I know this probably gets asked a lot but are the bulgy maks any good? I've been pining for this one: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411548817/Century+HG765-G+Bulgarian+Makarov+9x18

I don't really know what's happening to your rifle, I'd have to see it in person to really give good advice. Which unless you live in Colorado, that probably isn't gonna happen soon.
at my local surplus store i found a fake rifle with a functioning bolt
Shot a full auto uzi yesterday. 70 bucks well spent.

Full auto is a lot of fun. Only thing that sucks is watching those boxes of ammo you just paid for getting eaten in about two minutes. :v:
why make it more difficult (and potentially dangerous) than it already is? they charge and shit.
just fire a .950 JDJ at the noggin

3600 grain projectile at 2,200 ft/s, 38,685 ft·lbs (for comparison, .50 BMG only hits about 13,500 ft-lbs)
epic fail alright

Hey, I'm just trying to be funny even if I didn't hit the mark.
I'm sure that round has fantastic terminal ballistics. A round the size of the soda bottle would probably be more of a artillery round instead of a rifle round.
I'm trying to work out what game some pistol cartridges would be suitable for out a of a carbine barrel (carbine barrel adds about 70ms or 200fts to the velocity)
9x19mm
.357SIG
40S&W
10mm Auto
.45ACP
Assumes you use the right loads and projectiles
Not as big as soda bottle standing next to it. Epic fail.
I agree, I bet I could take about 6 or maybe even 70 shots to the chest before I go down.

Only 120mm?
120mm from an Abrams main gun, brother in law picked one of these up when he was doing work on the training ground for Abrams.
I have a 105mm casing
