Cabela's giving away a Browning A-bolt in 300WSM as one of the prizes for the first 600 people in line at 5am. I don't want to see the parking lot right now...

How many rails does it have?
Grach or Glock, or any other suggestions? I'm thinking of buying a sidearm.
What is the name of the stuff they use to build bases with in Afghanistan?

HESCO and Mk. 2 sand
HESCO and Mk. 2 sand
why would sand have a designation?
but thanks
why would sand have a designation?

Because if it didn't have a designation it wouldn't be fair and the sand might feel left out.
Mk 2 sand is a HUGE improvement over MK 1, they fixed a lot of problems in the earlier models.

Mk. II is what you have left after the rigorous sifting training regiment they put the Mk. I sand through.

Yea, that Mk. 1 stuff was too gritty and rough

I'm a Glock carrier myself but Graches are pretty rare (at least in the US, I don't know where you're from) due to the russian gun import ban. if you can find one for a reasonable price you should jump on that in a heartbeat
They're legally imported in Canada, my local gunshop has a bunch of them.
You mean the Baikal MP446C Viking? Because it's just a bit different than the MP443 Grach.

They have the MP-446 not the MP-446C. Everything is the same except for the polymer grip.
Getting my first firearm today! Either a Stoeger over-under if there's a really good black friday deal for it, or my first choice: a Remington M870 Express Deer Hunter with Synthetic Matte Black stock.
I wondering if you guys can help me out here. I live in Illinois and I want to get a rifle, I'm 18 and have to get a FOID card, but it says my parents also have to sign on it as well. Did anyone else go through this process? I don't think my parents will be happy if I tell them I want a gun.
You're 18 and you can't get a gun license by yourself? You're an adult I don't get it.

Welcome to the club, fellow Illinois bro. As for your question, I don't remember anything about having a parent sign if you're 18. And if you do, why would your parents be upset?
http://www.isp.state.il.us/docs/6-181x.pdf
At the bottom of the first page it says "IF UNDER 21" and says a parent must sign. I never knew about this up until I was about to print out the form.
I haven't asked my parents yet, it's just that I feel like they'll be upset. We don't hunt, we don't own guns, our grandparents don't own guns ect. It's just weird to them.

just tell them the truth about what you want to do. it's not like it's frowned upon by anyone to own a hunting rifle
"Hey mom/dad I wan't to get a rifle(gun is kind of a "scary" word so don't use it) for target shooting, I think it could be a cool hobby. I just need your to sign a form of consent, I don't want to bother waiting 2 more years".
I don't see how that could upset them.
oh and I don't know how your family is but if they're anything like mine you should probably ask your dad. my father generally assumed that I'd not be an idiot when using potentially dangerous items (whether it be guns, power tools, knives, etc.) but my mom was always afraid I'd end up killing myself
she also didn't approve of me spending hundreds of dollars at a time on different guns and ammo, but that's another issue entirely
I guess it never hurts to try. Actually not 18 yet, gotta wait a few more month but whatever. I'm debating between a Mosin, A cheap shotgun or a cheap 10/22. Not planning on spending more then 250 dollars.
Either that or I'll just wait until I go to college out of state.
Prepare your rectums for puckering:

And blood pressure medicine.
I'd get a semi-auto .22 of some sort (not necessarily a 10/22, I prefer the mossberg 702, personally) rather than a mosin or a shotgun. Mosins kick like a mule and really aren't very good as a first gun, and shotguns are pretty expensive to feed
