whoops i meant in pricing i know what the ammo actually does sorryyyyyy
birdshot is cheapest, slugs are most expensive. birdshot can go as little as 25 cents a round, buckshot between 35 and 65 cents a round, slugs up to a buck and a quarter not sure what flechette costs but being the specialist round it is I imagine it's priced similarly to slugs
birdshot disperses more tiny pellets over a larger area but doesn't penetrate as deep buckshot has a tighter group and penetrates deeper slugs shoot a single piece of metal flechette is useless for hunting, self defense, and target shooting. entirely legal, but there's no reason you would ever want it
flechette isn't useless for self defence if you happen to be defending yourself in a rain forest or corn maze.
I know that. I was asking if there were any actual sniper rifles (with suppressors), but worded it poorly
Well, there are some extremely rare k98k variants used by Brandenburgers that had suppressors on them, but they didn't suppress the regular ammo by much from what I've read. They got sub-sonic loads for them, though. Germans did have some crazy other things too like IR sights for guns, which weren't entirely practical (huge torch, huge optics, ~14 kg battery for them). But no, if you're looking for a suppressed WWII gun, you're probably out of luck. Too rare. I don't see how flechette could be worthless in self defense. I wouldn't want to be fucking hit with a bunch of nails fired out of a shotgun.
I'm saving up for a Colt LE6920. If I change my mind at the last moment, what gun should I buy if I have 1000-1500 to blow off.
I don't see how flechette could be worthless in self defense. I wouldn't want to be fucking hit with a bunch of nails fired out of a shotgun.
I'd rather be hit by a bunch of thin nails than buckshot.
I'm saving up for a Colt LE6920. If I change my mind at the last moment, what gun should I buy if I have 1000-1500 to blow off.
A gun that costs $1000-$1500 is probably what you're going to want to look at.

You can also get a decent M1A in that price range.
I don't see how flechette could be worthless in self defense. I wouldn't want to be fucking hit with a bunch of nails fired out of a shotgun.
they don't really penetrate much, and they don't leave very large permanent wound cavities. they're only good for shooting in heavy forestation at things you can't really see that well [editline]23rd November 2012[/editline] it also tears up the bore of your gun so I wouldn't recommend it even then
Even the military, with millions of dollars sunk into projects, failed to get flechettes to work better than good old buckshot

it'd be nice to have an Eastern European gun owner to give us insight on gun culture over there too bad he's retarded
Those pistols look like toys to me.
it'd be nice to have an Eastern European gun owner to give us insight on gun culture over there too bad he's retarded
strict gun laws sums it up
Those pistols look like toys to me.
Didn't you mean toys which can kill?
After looking over the FOID application, I think I'm just going to wait until I move out of state. It would take too long to get and by the time I got it it would be useless. That and I'm not sure if I am an "adjudicated delinquent", which I assume would disqualify me.
Didn't see a single fucking deer today...
describing my problem a bit more thoroughly: [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/107136/photo_2.JPG[/t] -excuse the crappy cell phone camera Basically: I am holding the charging handle of a Ruger 10/22. The top part which I am holding with my hand will not retract down the metal pole surrounded by the spring. The top part which I am holding with my hand also wiggles slightly and it wiggles rough more than it does smoothly. The top part which I am holding with my hand needs to retract down to the bottom of the pole until the spring is fully compressed. I have tried lubing it and hand force but none seem to work. Suggestions?

Might be worth a shot
